A commercial kitchen ceiling that another contractor had put in wrong was replaced this May — set higher, finished better, built with a heavier grade of tile and grid, and the old debris carted away. That is the kind of call Ceiling Solution keeps getting: ceilings someone else got wrong, and ceilings nobody else specialises in. The Medford company does one thing — suspended, drop and acoustical ceiling systems and the metal framing behind them — for basements, offices, shops and commercial kitchens. Google shows 5.0 from 78 ratings, and 64 written accounts run from 2021 to now. Customers name Darlan, who installs, and Daniela, who handles quoting and questions; a customer writing in May 2026 described it as a family-run business, and a November 2022 reviewer said it is owned and operated by the owner himself. Basements dominate the record. A March 2022 customer in North Reading had roughly 600 square feet installed across a basement hallway and rec room. A December 2022 customer had a tricky basement full of exposed pipes and was walked through the options before anything was ordered. A December 2023 customer had theirs done entirely in black. Commercial work runs alongside: an 8,000-plus-square-foot ACE Hardware re-tiled during a renovation in an April 2022 account, a 100-year-old retail space converted to a drop ceiling in March 2024, and a general contractor writing in November 2022 who had used them since his first day on that job. Two practical things recur across the years. They clean up — nearly every account mentions it, one April 2024 customer saying the basement was cleaner than when they started. And they show up: that same customer had the ceiling measured and installed through an April snowstorm. The only criticism on file is small and specific. The North Reading customer in March 2022 asked for more care with the staging, reporting scuffs on baseboards and marks on freshly painted walls, and said it would have caused headaches in an already-finished room. They recommended the company anyway. For a drop or acoustical ceiling from people who do nothing else, this is a straightforward call. Ask for the tile and grid grade in writing, and if the room is already finished, agree how walls and trim will be protected before the staging goes up.
