City Oil Co., Inc. describes itself on the Better Business Bureau as offering diesel fuel, heating oil and gasoline to residential and commercial customers. A 2024 customer said that on a frigid Sunday, after a different company never showed up, City Oil showed up off schedule to fill them up and got them warm again. A 2022 customer said they ran out of home heating oil and the company came immediately. A 2022 reviewer said City Oil's heating oil cost less than local heating oil companies. Much of the company's work is fueling equipment: a 2026 customer said the driver came by their work site to fill up the machines and came the very next day when they changed sites, and a 2024 customer said a call first thing in the morning got a fuel delivery the same day. A 2022 customer said they had used the company for close to three years for their equipment and trucks. The company holds an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau, and its website lists a service area that includes Andover, Avon, Berlin, Bloomfield, Branford, Bridgeport and other towns. A 2026 reviewer said that when they called, the woman they spoke with said the company did not deliver oil on 24/7 emergency unless the caller was a regular customer. A 2025 reviewer who needed an entire tank filled wrote that the 24/7 emergency service required being an existing member. In a 2023 review, a reviewer said a driver was texting on his cellphone on the highway and swerving, and that a man named Tom who answered the phone refused to give the name of a manager and hung up.
These guys are great they service my work site they come by fill up all my machines the delivery driver is awesome never complains comes by very frequently to the point most times I don't even have to leave the pile to go fill up my machine he comes by so often and when I change sites I need a delivery they come by the very next day if I could give six stars I would
I just called and the lady i spoke to said they don't deliver oil 24/7 emergency. Unless you're a regular customer.yes i know its my fault for waiting till last minute.
Great company if your ever in the area my drivers name was Rafial he checked in with me to make sure all my equipment had fuel in order to keep us working without downtime!
Says they have 24/7 emergency but fail o tell you that you have to be an existing member in order to use the “service”. What business doesn’t want to make money? Clearly this one. We need an entire tank filled up. They could’ve made an easy $7-800 that we were willing to pay.
City Oil is top notch! Nobody else matches their service level. Gotten into a few pinches needing fuel and got it in a few hours! Sal and team thank you for all you do for B&L Management!
