CMC Hardscape and Masonry Inc. is a Weymouth hardscaping and masonry contractor run by its owner, Corey Cusick, who describes himself as a professional mason working residential and commercial hardscape. The company builds paver patios and walkways, retaining walls, concrete and masonry work, specialty brick restoration and excavation, and states it covers the South Shore from Quincy and Braintree down through Hingham, Marshfield and Duxbury to Plymouth. Customers describe a small crew led by the owner and a job run to schedule. One homeowner says the backyard patio crew was on site on time every day, worked hard, cleaned up afterwards, communicated clearly and finished on time and on budget. Another had a front walk laid this spring and credits Corey with turning up on time to price it, offering ideas and keeping the cost down. A third had old bricks lifted and relaid into a new front walkway with a slate patio repaired alongside, and calls the pricing very reasonable. Writing in September 2025, a customer says the estimate came the same day, scheduling was communicated clearly and the crew added a granite step to level the walkway. In December 2025 another had an old cement garage floor dug out and repoured. Two things need weighing against that. Its Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration, #200303, is registry-verified as EXPIRED — it lapsed on 13 December 2022 and has not been renewed. In Massachusetts that registration is what gives a homeowner access to the Guaranty Fund and to HIC arbitration on a residential job, so ask directly whether it has since been renewed and get the current number before signing anything. Separately, a reviewer writing in June 2024 rated the company three stars, saying the work itself was good but the job was never finished and 'created more work', and advising others not to pay before the work is done. The recent written record is consistently positive and the hardscaping work is well described by the people who bought it. For a South Shore patio or walkway, this is a credible owner-run outfit — but confirm the registration status, insist on a written scope with a completion milestone, and hold final payment until the job is genuinely finished.
