Forte Enterprises is the outfit homeowners across the South Shore call when a basement bulkhead needs replacing. The company says it has been the original factory-certified installer of BILCO bulkheads in Massachusetts since 1968, and owner Fred Forte says he still oversees every job personally, handling contracts and scheduling himself. On Google, the pattern holds across 27 ratings that land at essentially five stars: reviewers keep circling back to the same handful of things — organized scheduling, email-based contracts, and a crew that gets a new bulkhead in cleanly. A review from this spring called out exactly that: solid work, an organized process, and Fred handling the paperwork himself by email. The broader history runs from 2023 through this year across four different sources without a negative turn. A couple of things are worth knowing before calling. Forte's public certifications — Certified Home Improvement Contractor status and BBB accreditation — are the company's own claims on its website, not something independently confirmed here, so it's worth asking to see the actual registration and builder's-license numbers directly. It's also worth double-checking the address: a business directory lists a Worcester, MA location for a "Forte Enterprises," while the company's own site and Google presence both point to Weymouth — likely just an old or mismatched directory entry, but worth a quick call to confirm before signing anything. And take at least one recent five-star Google post with a grain of salt — it reads as generic marketing copy about BILCO doors rather than an account of a real job, so the review count is padded slightly by non-review content. For anyone dealing with a leaking, rotted, or ground-level bulkhead — the classic wet-basement entry point — this looks like a company built around exactly that repair, with masonry and general waterproofing work in the same mix. Confirm the license numbers with the state directly and ask whether Fred himself or a crew member will be handling your particular job.

Forte did a great job replacing my bulkhead - I am very happy with the quality of their work, the workers and final result - I highly recommend. Even more impressive though is that they are very organized and communicative. I like that Fred uses email for contracts, scheduling and communications - very professional and always responsive.
