Compass Restoration Services has been the subject of asbestos-regulation enforcement reporting. The Massachusetts Attorney General's Office identifies it as a Ludlow-based asbestos and lead abatement company. Insurance Journal reports that the AGO reached an agreement with Compass to resolve allegations of violations of the Massachusetts Clean Air Act and its asbestos regulations. The Gazette also reports a fine involving Compass and asbestos-regulation violations observed by the Department of Environmental Protection. The state registry showed the company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, 178294, as expired when checked on September 29, 2026. Jeffrey A Henriques's Massachusetts construction supervisor licence, CS-102023, was registry-verified active on that date. These are separate credentials held by the company and the named individual. The BBB gives Compass an A+ grade and lists registration and licence numbers, including LR002873. BuildZoom lists asbestos-contractor licence AC000695. Those directory entries are attributed licence claims. BuildZoom's claim about HIC registration 178294 conflicts with the state registry's expired status.
“The fine came after DEP personnel conducted an unannounced inspection on Oct. 4 while employees of Compass Restoration Services were conducting asbestos abatement in two areas of the hospital. Several violations of Massachusetts asbestos regulations were observed, the DEP said in statement.”
