One homeowner opened an October 2025 review by setting Confido Builders against an industry notorious for running over time and over budget: these guys listened, promised, and delivered. Schedule and budget are what several other customers make a point of too. Confido is a Massachusetts general contractor co-founded by Aaron Steeves and Ben Maiden, doing home remodels, additions, custom homes and commercial tenant interiors across Greater Boston and Metro West. The jobs people describe cover a lot of ground. After a fire loss, a January 2026 customer said Confido advised and led the entire rebuild, brought in smart technology and energy-efficient upgrades, and helped them access substantial rebates. In a January 2024 review, a homeowner described a tiny hallway off the garage turned into a mudroom — on schedule, on budget, with alternatives offered along the way. A 2023 reviewer said they were stuck in a bad place with a basement project and Aaron bailed them out. Decks come up more than once: a November 2025 customer called replacing theirs seamless, and a February 2024 Angi reviewer wrote that their finished deck was a fitting testament to the quality of the work. Steeves works both sides of the business. A local Realtor said in January 2026 that they had recommended Confido many times, from renovations to new builds, and an October 2025 investor described being walked through a multi-family project from acquiring the property to managing the renovation and refinancing. One job had snags worth knowing about. An Angi reviewer in January 2024 whose bathroom came out well still wrote that there were bumps along the road, crediting Aaron and project manager Wesley with being easy to communicate with and quick to address issues; Angi's profile notes one review flagging scheduling and crew-language bumps. The directories also disagree on where the company sits — Lunenburg on its BBB page, Newton on Angi, a Worcester address on HomeAdvisor — so ask which office is running your job. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #207786, is active on the state registry, and its BBB page is an A+. For an addition, a whole-room remodel, or a rebuild where one party has to carry the trades and the decisions, this is a solid fit. Get the schedule and the budget in writing at the start, and ask for the name of the project manager assigned to you.
