Nick runs Total Home Services himself. The company's site describes him as a Carpenters Union-trained carpenter who used to project-manage for a New England carpentry contractor, and lists the work as kitchen and bathroom remodels, deck construction, custom built-ins, finished basements, roofing, siding and handyman jobs. Both customers who have written about him came to him after someone else had let them down. One, writing in January 2026, had been through a few failed vendors and an emergency before Nick stepped in, recommended what was needed and closed the project out quickly. The other, that same month, had given up on a roofer who would not communicate, was referred by a family member, and wrote that Nick's team answered straight away and booked the appointment immediately. That is the whole written history so far: two accounts, both from January 2026, both about picking up a job someone else had started. So ask for a recent example of the specific work you need — a deck, a bathroom, a roof — and get the scope, materials and schedule in writing before anyone starts. For a homeowner who wants one carpenter-trained contractor to take over a stalled project or run a mid-sized remodel, Nick is a reasonable call; ask up front how he handles the trades he does not do himself.

I’m super thankful Nick was able to step in and successfully bring my project to a close. After a few failed vendors and a big emergency, Nick stepped in and recommended all the right things and got the job done super quickly! I will definitely use Total Home Services again if I have work in this area!
After experiencing frustration with a different roofers lack of communication and urgency, I was referred to Total Home Services by a family member and trusted friend. I reached out to Nick and his team and was immediately impressed by their prompt communication and sense of urgency. As should be the industry standard I was able to immediately schedule an appointment for my detached garage/garage roof to be inspected in-person to discuss their plan for the work and so a quote could be provided. Within a few days I was able to talk/meet with Nick and his team, received a quote, and agreed on the work plan and timeline. I made it known the timeframe was tight as I had already lost 2 weeks just trying to get a quote from a different company, and because the work needed to be done before town restrictions on street parking during the winter took effect. I was not only impressed by their professionalism, but I got the sense that they cared about the quality of the work and did so with a sense of urgency. Nick and his team completed the entire roof installation, front facade masonry, rear gutter work, and were even able to fix/patch problem areas of the garage siding all in less than 5 days. The garage that I thought would eventually need to be demolished due to the roofs very poor condition is now leak and water proof because of a new, beautifully installed rubber roof complete with a newly crafted front facade and gutter system. I could not be happier with how the work turned out. You will not find anyone that cares more about providing excellent, stress-free service more than Nick and his team at Total Home Services. They created a great plan, executed and backed up their promise to provide me with extremely high quality work that completely fixed the issue and has removed a large source of stress for me. I would recommend their services to anyone and will absolutely be calling them for any and all future projects!
