consTRUSTY Carpentry is Fabio Da Silva's Medford-based design-build outfit, and the specialty in the name shows up constantly in the reviews: built-in bookshelves, crown molding and door casings matched to a 120-year-old house, and cabinet work precise enough to level out century-old uneven floors. Beyond the fine carpentry, the bulk of the written record is kitchen and bathroom remodeling — full gut renovations, an island relocated 22 inches to open up a cramped condo kitchen, and repeat customers who had Fabio's crew come back to redo their bathrooms the year after a kitchen project. The reviews, which run from 2020 through mid-2026 across Google, Thumbtack, and Houzz, repeat the same specifics: on-time, on-budget, communicative through a shared progress tool, and unusually hands-on with problem-solving when something goes sideways mid-project — one reviewer credits Fabio and his crew with salvaging a job after a designer's mistakes and a bad stone match, pulling installed cabinets back apart and reinstalling them once the stone was corrected. BuildZoom's permit records back some of this up directly: a $9,000 siding restoration in Marblehead and a $29,000 kitchen cabinet and lighting job in Medfield, both from 2022. The most recent account, though, is a clear miss: in a June 2026 review, a prospective customer described being given a quote and then strung along for weeks with promises of a formal contract that never arrived, then silence. It reads as a real lapse in following through on a lead, not a complaint about finished work — but it's the newest thing on file, so it's worth asking directly about current responsiveness and how quickly a signed quote actually shows up. His Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license is active and verified against the state registry, and he's also listed on Thumbtack as a background-checked, license-verified pro. For kitchen, bathroom, or fine carpentry work specifically, the track record is deep and consistent; the quoting delay is the one thing worth confirming won't repeat.

Fabio ghosted me for weeks after giving me a quote. Week and after week he kept promising to send me an official quote to sign the agreement, but he never sent it despite apologies and promises he would. I waited patiently for over a month and finally sent him a text saying I assume he didn’t want the job. No response. Be an adult and communicate. If my job was too small for you, just be transparent. But instead you stalled and delayed getting a job done that I needed. In the end I eventually found someone who did a fantastic job and will be my go to person. Fabio is unprofessional and when I met him I genuinely thought he was a nice man. That may still be the case but I would not do business with him. I’ve already referred the guy that I hired to three other people. One who has a very significant job to be done, so your loss Fabio. If I ever see your name or company name in any Medford Facebook group I will be sure to let people know to run! You’re the reason why people have trust issues with contractors.
Fabio is great at managing his remodeling projects from start to finish. Hands on and proactive. I have been referring his company to my Kitchen design clients who have been in search of a contractor over the years. Every project we have worked on together has gone smoothly from start to finish. Talented company to work with on a professional level.
I recently hired Construsty to build a custom built-in bookshelf, and I couldn't be happier with the result! From start to finish, he was professional, detail-oriented, and truly dedicated to delivering high-quality work. I got his contact from a friend. Construsty took the time to understand my needs, provided helpful suggestions, and executed the project flawlessly. The bookshelf fits perfectly in the space, looks stunning, and adds both beauty and functionality to the room. His craftsmanship is top-notch, with clean lines, smooth finishes, and sturdy construction. Beyond the quality of work, Construsty left the workspace spotless after finishing the job. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for custom woodworking—this was an investment well worth it! Thank you, Construsty, for transforming my space with your incredible skills!
consTRUSTY did a fabulous job. The product exceeded my every expectation. Would not hesitate to use them again!
Fabio and his workers were the bright spot of this project, they saved the experience of working with a designer that made numerous mistakes and stone fabricators that picked the worst of all possible portions of stone to match from our slab. We ended up with a beautiful set of cabinets with a pass through because Fabio and his staff raised issues with us and went the extra mile to take off the top portion already installed and reinstall it after the stone was fixed.
