CRM Construction, based in Woburn and led by Chris Meyer, runs two connected operations under one roof: a general contracting arm that takes on full renovations, and 'CRM On Demand Handyman,' a newer branch built around smaller repair and installation jobs. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, and the BBB carries an A+ file. The written record runs deep and wide — 27 reviews from 2016 through this year across eight sources — and both sides of the business show up in it. On the general-contracting side, a 2024 review describes a complex, on-time, on-budget renovation of a 1745 historic home costing $480,000, with the family living in the house throughout; in a 2017 review, another homeowner recalls a crew member named Jim completing two full bathroom gut jobs and a laundry room gut job after five other contractors never called back. On the handyman side — which reviewers in 2025 describe as a newer 'CRM On Demand Handyman' branch — Derek does most of the small-job work by name: siding repair, wood-trim replacement around windows and doors, a storm door install, and a deck build. In a 2025 review, Derek is credited with spotting rotted plywood under a section of house siding that the homeowner hadn't noticed. Reviewers consistently cite his responsiveness and clean work, and Amanda is named repeatedly for coordinating scheduling and billing. A dated April 2026 Google review is a clear exception: the reviewer reports a no-show with no call after the appointment had been confirmed twice the day before. It's the only negative account in the record, but specific and recent enough to ask about directly. For a small repair or install, ask for the On Demand Handyman side and expect Derek or a similarly hands-on crew member; for a larger renovation, Chris Meyer's crew has a documented track record on complex, occupied-home projects. Either way, confirm your appointment shortly before the date given the one recent no-show report.
Was very satisfied with the work that was done on my porch. Good job, I highly recommend them to anyone who needs work done
Unreliable. No show and no phone call after the appointment was confirmed twice the day before.
Super friendly and professional service! High quality of work at a fair price, will be using in the future!
Quality, trustworthy, dependable, timely, good listeners...these are the words that immediately come to mind when I refer to CRM Construction. Chris Meyer has a team that encompasses strong talent in every area...cabinetry, tile work, finish work, etc. I had a basement flood that resulted in the total demolition and reconstruction of my finished basement, and CRM made me confident that they would 'get everything back' to where it was, but they got me 'back to better'! CRM would be my preferred contractor and first recommendation anytime. Many thanks to the entire team.
Derek did a fantastic job repairing exterior siding that was rotting. He was efficient, professional, and skilled with all the work. Would not hesitate to hire him again! Amanda did a great job of coordinating the scheduling, billing, and communicated in a timely manner. Great to work with!
