One name shows up in almost every recent review of CRM Construction, and it isn't the owner's. Derek — called a master carpenter by a homeowner writing in June 2025 — is the one doing the rot repairs, the storm doors, the trim replacement, the TV mounts and the deck rebuilds that make up most of what customers have put in writing about this Woburn contractor over the past two years. That is the smaller half of the business. Under Chris Meyer, CRM takes on whole-house work too: a January 2024 reviewer described a $480,000 full renovation of a 1745 historic home, finished on time and on budget while the family went on living in it, and a 2017 customer wrote about two complete bathroom gut jobs plus a laundry room. The small-job flow now runs through a handyman arm, CRM OnDemand, and that is the arm the recent reviews are about. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 186411, is active and held by CRM Construction LLC itself. Its Better Business Bureau grade is A+. The recent write-ups are specific in a way that is hard to fake — itemised jobs, prices named from $200 up to $4,600, distinct projects, and customers naming both the carpenter and the office coordinator, Amanda. In a June 2025 review a homeowner wrote that Derek called within minutes of the job posting and arrived five days later, after four other contractors had been interviewed. Another that month said the office got someone out the following Tuesday when most of the competition never answered the phone at all. The counterweight is recent and worth raising. In April 2026 a Google reviewer wrote that nobody showed up and nobody called, after the appointment had been confirmed twice the day before. That is the only complaint anywhere, and it is also the newest thing written about them: Google sits at 4.2 across five ratings while Angi and HomeAdvisor each publish 5.0 from 24. Those two are the same 24 reviews shown twice, so read them as one platform rather than two independent ones. For rot repair, doors, trim and small carpentry, this is the work the recent history actually describes, and it describes it well. For a large renovation you are leaning on a 2024 account and a history that runs back to 2016 — ask to speak to those clients directly, and get your appointment confirmed in writing before you take a day off work for it.

Unreliable. No show and no phone call after the appointment was confirmed twice the day before.

Quality, trustworthy, dependable, timely, good listeners...these are the words that immediately come to mind when I refer to CRM Construction. Chris Meyer has a team that encompasses strong talent in every area...cabinetry, tile work, finish work, etc. I had a basement flood that resulted in the total demolition and reconstruction of my finished basement, and CRM made me confident that they would 'get everything back' to where it was, but they got me 'back to better'! CRM would be my preferred contractor and first recommendation anytime. Many thanks to the entire team.

Derek did a fantastic job repairing exterior siding that was rotting. He was efficient, professional, and skilled with all the work. Would not hesitate to hire him again! Amanda did a great job of coordinating the scheduling, billing, and communicated in a timely manner. Great to work with!
