Golden Hammer Remodeling is a Woburn-based, Massachusetts-licensed general contractor that has built an almost entirely five-star record — 58 reviews since 2019, all but two of them five stars — doing full bathroom and kitchen renovations, and increasingly whole-house work, across the Boston suburbs. One name anchors nearly every review: owner Sebastian Rodrigues, backed by a small, consistent crew that reviewers name specifically — Janete in the office, project manager Dilon (also spelled Dylon), and Gabriel, described repeatedly as a "jack of all trades." The work itself is substantial, not cosmetic. A 2026 review describes a bathroom taken down to the studs with electrical and plumbing work that was permitted and code compliant; another from 2025 describes a 13-by-13 gut renovation where the team reworked design ideas mid-project at no extra charge when their own suggestions needed adjusting. A 2023 review describes a homeowner who collected four general-contractor bids — after being quoted six-to-nine-month timelines elsewhere — and moved back into a fully gutted 2.5-bathroom, kitchen renovation in the four months Sebastian promised, with only cosmetic touch-ups outstanding. Pricing and scheduling discipline come up again and again: a 2025 review describes being quoted nearly triple the cost by another local company for the same shower-to-tub conversion; a 2024 review describes a project quoted at six weeks that took exactly six weeks. Several reviewers mention comparing multiple contractors before choosing Golden Hammer specifically because of how the estimate and timeline held up. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active and verified against the state registry. Recent reviews from this year keep the same shape as the rest of the record — two-bathroom condo remodels, a 100-year-old house handled with a few hiccups managed professionally, and a master bath called out for attention to detail. There is very little to flag here: across nearly six years of reviews, the lowest score on file is a four-star note about an otherwise well-executed small bathroom job. For a full bathroom or kitchen gut renovation, or a larger whole-house project, this is a contractor with an unusually deep, consistent track record behind the name on the crew's shirts.
Hired Golden Hammer Remodeling for a two bathroom remodel in my condo and couldn’t be happier with the results (see videos). Sebastian (owner) and his team (Janete - receptionist, Dilon - project manager, and Gabriel - jack of all trades, to name a few) were all consummate professionals throughout the entire process. Their craftsmanship and keen attention to detail are second to none. Pricing was reasonable too. I also had the guys complete some minor work around the apartment and they did so with ease; these guys can literally do it all. If you’re pondering your next project and value a peace of mind and high quality work, hire Golden Hammer Remodeling; you will not be disappointed! Grateful to have found my contractors for life; they earned my trust and business. Thanks!
I recently had a complete bathroom renovation (down to the studs) by Golden Hammer and was very happy with the experience. From start to finish, Sebastian (GC), Janete (administrative)and his team were professional, reliable, and incredibly easy to work with. A special shout out to Dylon our project coordinator and Gabriel who is a Jack of all trades and does great work. The electrical and plumbing work was permitted/code compliant and well executed. Very happy with the tile work great job and a very hard worker. The crew kept the workspace clean, and communicated throughout the entire process. Their attention to detail really stood out—everything from the tile work to the fixtures was done with precision and care. It’s not always easy to find a team you can trust in your home. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality work, fair pricing and a great overall experience.
We had a great experience with this team and are really happy with how our bathroom turned out. Our house is over 100 years old, so we expected a few hiccups along the way, but everything was handled professionally and with clear, consistent communication throughout the project. Huge shoutout to Sebastian, Dillon, and Gabriel—they were all hardworking, respectful, and clearly take pride in what they do. We couldn’t be happier with the final result and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for quality work.
Golden hammer renovated my master bathroom and they did an exceptional job. I could not be happier with their attention to detail and professionalism. They are true experts at their craft and I highly recommend.
Golden Hammer Remodeling did a fantastic job on our bathroom remodel. The entire process was very smooth from beginning to end. They were responsive in setting up the initial visit, easy to work with while hashing out the contract and scope of work, and did an excellent job on the project itself. Sebastian gave great guidance when we weren't sure what would look good. His team was very professional and friendly and did their utmost to be clean and respectful of our house. They cleaned up at the end of each day. Sebastian communicated very well and was always responsive to our questions. In addition to all of these positives, we felt that the price we paid for all the work was very fair. We will absolutely work with Golden Hammer Remodeling for future projects and have already recommended them to friends.
