In an October 2024 review, a homeowner described him pulling a 30-year-old pressure-treated deck, setting new footings and rebuilding it in Trex composite; another October 2024 customer had the back deck demolished and rebuilt, a cement prefab front entry swapped for a small porch, and the bay window redone in the same run of work. Greg Dawson is named in most of the reviews, and the crew gets named too — a March 2024 customer who had two decks built called out George, Joe and Alex. How the job gets quoted comes up nearly as often as the carpentry. A September 2024 reviewer on a $31,000 deck said the work came in exactly as quoted, with no hidden charges and no high-pressure pitch; another September 2024 customer got a CAD drawing of the proposal along with material samples to choose from. In a March 2019 review, a homeowner described him surveying the space and laying out options on size and materials before anything started. The maintenance end of a deck is in their range as well: a January 2021 customer had a deck powerwashed and sealed and said the crew arrived on time and cleaned up before leaving, and another January 2021 reviewer said they came back and fixed anything that came up. In July 2026, a homeowner who found the company through an online search had a deck replaced and was happy with how it came out. If what you want is a deck or porch — a new build, a tear-off and rebuild, or composite over tired pressure-treated boards — this is a straightforward call. Get the materials and the footing work itemized on the quote, ask for the drawing and the sample selection up front, and confirm which of the crew will be on your job.
I needed my deck to be replaced. Not sure who to call, I turned to the internet and started searching for a contractor. I came across Dawson’s Precision Painting & carpentry. I glad I did. Greg gave me a dissent price and I’m very happy with the results. His crew are friendly and experienced. They clean up as the job is being completed. Also, Greg will go out of his way to make sure you are happy with the final results. My wife is very happy with the deck. I will use them for future projects. Thanks guys!
Had Dawson’s come out to demolish and rebuild our back deck, remove a cement prefab front entry and replace with a small porch, and redo our bay window in the front. We went with Dawson for a couple reasons - great reviews online, Greg was pressure-free when it came to deciding what we wanted for the project, and a reasonable estimate. During the course of each project, the work was handled with extreme care and attention, and with great professionalism. Greg was very hands-on throughout the project, and showed up every day to ensure the work was being completed to his standard. The end result was beautiful, exactly what we wanted. We couldn’t have been happier with Dawson’s, and will definitely be going back for future projects. Thanks Greg!!
Greg replaced my 30 year old PT deck with Trex composite materials. Old deck was removed and new footings were installed for the new deck. Greg was a good communicator and the quality of the work by both Greg and his crew was excellent. I highly recommend him.
Greg Dawson tore down our old deck and replaced it with the sturdiest deck we've ever seen! He takes pride in his craft and it shows. He is easy to talk with and is dependable and professional.
