Dean Farnham has plumbed out of South Dennis since 2002 by the company's own count, and his Massachusetts plumber's licence, 13203-PL-M, is active on the state registry in his own name. His BBB page is an A+, accredited since 2012. The written accounts of his work run from 2011 to 2025, and the two ends of that stretch tell different stories. Angi customers writing between 2011 and 2016 describe a plumber who answered and showed up. In January 2016 one said he returned a call about a leaking water main and was there within an hour on New Year's Day; a September 2014 customer, searching online for a plumber after National Grid traced a gas smell to a leak behind the clothes dryer, said he phoned back and arrived within a couple of hours. An August 2012 review credits a Rinnai water heater installed right at a fair price with the work area left clean, and a January 2012 reviewer said the job came in on time and on quote, with a couple of extras at no additional charge. That same stretch holds a complaint: a September 2014 reviewer gave half a star over poor communication and promised dates that never materialized. The 2025 accounts are harsher. Two Google reviewers, in July and September 2025, gave one star and called the business and its owner untrustworthy and unprofessional, and a July 2025 Angi reviewer gave one star for extremely poor work. The platform averages differ accordingly: 2.3 stars from three ratings on Google, 4.1 from 29 on Angi and the same 4.1 from 29 on HomeAdvisor, which carries that Angi listing, and 4.7 from 28 on Porch. For plumbing and heating work in the Dennis and Harwich villages — water heaters, gas piping and appliance hookups, drains, radiant heat — Farnham is licensed, local, and by his own count has been at it for more than two decades. Settle the scope, the price and the dates in writing before the work starts.
