A December 2025 Google reviewer described Dennis painting their first floor and putting everything back in place afterward. Dennis Murphy Painting is based in Dennis, Massachusetts. Its Angi profile claims 50 years of experience and lists interior painting, decorative finishes, wallpaper work, cabinet refinishing and small repairs to plaster, sheetrock and wood. Customers have described preparation as well as the finished paint. In an April 2021 Angi review, a customer said Dennis and his crew painted an entire condo before move-in, including ceilings, trim, baseboard heaters and doors. They also patched and finished damaged areas. The customer arranged the work remotely from another state and praised the prompt estimates and suggestions for streamlining the project. A September 2016 Angi reviewer named Dennis and his helper, Mary, describing spackling and painting a large room. They said the pair protected furniture and carpeting and that the bill matched the original estimate plus the extra paint needed to finish. An April 2022 Google reviewer said Dennis and his team started and finished when promised and charged the quoted amount. A June 2019 HomeAdvisor customer described care in covering furniture and flooring, along with a reasonable price. Price praise was not universal: a May 2012 HomeAdvisor reviewer said Dennis cost more than other painters, while praising the work and his printed estimate. In a July 2006 HomeAdvisor account, a customer described exterior trim stripped to bare wood, then primed and given two finish coats; they also said he repaired rotted sills without billing for that work. The Massachusetts registry identified home improvement contractor registration 157220 for DENNIS MURPHY PAINTING & DEC as expired in the August 2026 check. The directories also disagree about two business policies: HomeAdvisor says emergency services and warranties are not offered, while Angi says both are offered.

Had Dennis paint my first floor, it was alot of work and it turned out fantastic. When he was done everything was put back in place like he was never here!!
Professional, meticulous, quality work, reasonably priced and dependable.
We are more than satisfied with the workmanship and professionalism. It’s not often you find a contractor that starts when they say they’ll start, finish the job when they say they will and charge you the amount of the quote. Dennis and team checked all of those boxes. Thank you! We will definitely call you for future painting needs.
Excellent work, arrived on time, pleasant to work with. Would hire again.
Dennis and his crew painted our entire condo before we moved in. Ceilings, trim, baseboard heaters, doors...the works. They also had some damaged areas to patch and finish, all of which look great. We set this up remotely, from another state, and Dennis was great about delivering prompt estimates and making useful suggestions to streamline the project. They did a beautiful job, at a highly competitive price. I’d recommend Dennis and his crew to anyone.
