Fonsecas Carpenter, also known as Fonseca's Carpentry, is a family-owned, owner-operated carpentry and home-improvement business based in East Falmouth, MA, run by Adriano Fonseca and self-reporting about a decade in business serving Cape Cod towns including Falmouth, Woods Hole, Mashpee, Sandwich, Bourne, Barnstable, Hyannis, and Dennis. Homeowners who hired the company describe Adriano and his crew doing hands-on carpentry across a wide range of projects: tearing down and rebuilding a deck with a maintenance-free fiberglass replacement plus new storm doors, window screens, and closets; converting a storage space into a guest room; restoring a home after water-filtration damage, including roofing, cedar shingles, and interior flooring; renovating an attic and updating a bathroom and kitchen; replacing kitchen cabinet doors and hardware; and building out a laundry room with custom cabinetry. One reviewer who used the company for both interior and exterior work -- replacement windows, interior doors and trim, a sunroom, decking, and an outdoor shower -- called the pricing reasonable. All 13 of the company's Google reviews are five stars, and the accounts read as specific, first-hand descriptions rather than generic praise -- reviewers name Adriano directly, describe the actual scope of work, and several say they have hired the company more than once. The state's own contractor license registry confirms an active Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license, #214962, held under Fonsecas Carpenter Inc -- the business's own name, not a mismatched holder. BuildZoom independently corroborates the same active license and lists one building permit from 2025 (a porch/deck job) in the $5,000-$20,000 range, though it shows no customer reviews of its own. There is no documented negative review or complaint on file to weigh against that record, so the main thing to confirm directly is scope and scheduling for a specific project -- the reviews cover everything from small repairs to multi-room work, and the permit/project volume on file is modest, consistent with a small, owner-operated crew. For homeowners on the Cape looking for finish carpentry, decks, built-ins, or a room-by-room remodel handled by the same crew from job to job, the reviewed track record and a clean, verified license make this a well-supported pick -- worth a direct conversation about timeline given the size of the operation.
Adriano and his team at Fonseca's Carpenter did an excellent job on a project at our home where we converted a storage space into a guest room. There were some challenging conditions in the space. But Adriano worked collaboratively with us to come up with a design that worked well. He and his team were also very flexible with some unexpected mid-project refinements to the design. He coordinated all the work with subcontractors smoothly, too. The end result is a beautiful and functional space.
Adriano & his crew were totally professional, great to work with and very friendly. They tore down my wooden deck, and replaced it with a maintenance free fiberglass one, added 2 new storm doors and 2 window screens, and installed 2 new closets. Pictures include our cedar lined closet, built in a basement stairwell, which Adriano built exactly to our specifications. Their work is top quality, so much so that we are getting estimates on additional future home improvements! Fonseca Contracting is the right choice!
We had water filtration issues that damaged a portion of our home. Mr. Fonsecas and his team did an excellent job in restoring our home. He was prompt and detailed oriented. He handled roofing, cedar shingles, and all the interior work, including flooring. The house has never looked better!
Adriano and his network of subcontractors are fantastic. They are very responsible, do great work and leave everything tidy. His team has renovated an attic space for us as well as some bathroom and kitchen updates. I highly recommend Fonseca!
I am beyond happy with the results of my new arched doorway in my home. Adriano of Fonseca Carpentry does great work, delivers just as he promises. He’s wonderful to work with. Check out the before and after pics! 👍🏼
