Designs by Gia

Designs by Gia is an owner-run interior design and renovation firm led by Gia Milazzo Smith, who designs, manages and oversees each project herself and coordinates her own contractors for whole-home and single-room renovations across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She's been immersed in design and construction since childhood — her family renovated and flipped houses — and has worked as an interior designer and renovator for more than 20 years. The two reviews on file describe a hands-on, detail-driven approach. In a 2025 review, a client credited Gia with turning "a dark and dreary kitchen into a bright, open, and welcoming area," singling out professionally painted white cabinets and a full furniture-and-artwork pairing that blended new pieces with the client's own. A 2023 review echoed the same theme — a good eye for color and functionality, and a crew described as polite and hard-working. She's also been quoted as an industry voice in trade coverage on designing condo and co-op common areas, and her work has appeared in at least one showcase house. With only two reviews on file, this is a small, design-led practice best evaluated by reviewing her portfolio and talking through project scope directly.
