DeVincenzo & Sons is an Everett masonry and concrete outfit now on its third generation — the company says Benito DeVincenzo started building staircases and stone fireplaces for local homeowners after arriving in the US in 1949, his son Dante took the reins in 1989, and grandson David has run it since 2020. Its Better Business Bureau file shows an A+ rating with no complaints logged, and in a 2020 Everett Independent feature a local business owner credited the crew with rebuilding a wall and then suggesting the patio that followed — the kind of practical touch that turned into a well-used outdoor space. The written review record is thin, though: the one Google rating on file, from 2017, describes a homeowner who submitted a detailed request for a large job — a bulkhead replacement, yard regrading, and a basement window cutout — and called repeatedly over several days without ever getting a callback. Worth asking directly how quickly they respond to a first quote request, especially for a bigger project — the long track record and BBB standing are reassuring, but the one documented complaint on file is specifically about getting through the door in the first place.
““When I built the wall, my contractor, DeVincenzo & Sons asked me what I wanted to do with the space between the wall and the building and my first thought was ‘nothing,’” said O’Neil. “Dave DeVincenzo suggested I put in a little patio for people in the building to use, and it was a great idea because before COVID we had well over a hundred people through the building every day between employees, patients at Cambridge Health Alliance, Dr. Masucci’s pediatric practice and Everett Bank’s lending office. So we built the patio, and it came out so well that Pricila Trancoso approached me about doin”
Submitted detailed job description on their websites "Request Quote" form and called several times over multiple days and left messages but I was never contacted. It was a large residential job - replace a bulkhead, regrade the yard and cut out a basement window. Maybe my job was too small? That doesn't explain why they didn't answer their phone.
