One thing to raise before you sign: a January 2024 article on lexology.com describes PJ Spillane as the waterproofing subcontractor on a college residence hall where one of its employees was injured while completing the work, and a March 2023 item names the same subcontract. For a masonry facade, a wet foundation wall or a garage deck that needs sealing, this is a restoration contractor with nearly a century behind it. Ask whether they take on residential jobs of your size, and get the scope, the schedule and the insurance certificates in writing before work starts.
