Fama Masonry works out of Everett and is run day to day by Claudio, whose name is in nearly every review customers write. The company describes itself as a full-service masonry outfit: brick and stone, concrete, fireplaces and chimneys, basement waterproofing and repairs, demolition, stair repairs and snow removal, for homes and commercial buildings. The jobs people describe are small-to-mid masonry repairs done quickly. This year alone customers have written about a stone wall and cracked garage repaired in July, a rebuilt front entrance in June, concrete stairs repaired and refinished in May, and brick entry steps fixed in April rather than torn out and replaced — that homeowner said the quote came in reasonable against the others they got. In March a customer said a new wall promised in two days was finished in one. The older write-ups cover harder work. A 2023 Angi reviewer with a 140-year-old row house described repairs to an exposed interior brick wall and to the exterior foundation under a bay window, and credited the crew's attention to detail. A 2022 Google reviewer had windows cut into a foundation wall, cracks pointed and concrete slabs installed. A 2021 customer whose cellar wall was leaking heavily said Claudio came back after a major storm to check the repair and fixed the couple of spots that still leaked. Punctuality and clean-up come up constantly across those years. Two Google reviews cut the other way, and they are the reason the Google average (3.9 from 7 ratings) sits far below the 4.9 that Thumbtack, Angi and HomeAdvisor show. In March 2025 a homeowner posted photos, called the workmanship awful, said the crew painted their concrete basement steps white when they had planned to stain them, and said a gas leak the crew told them about was not reported. In August 2024 a neighbor wrote about one of the company's drivers blocking a busy intersection. Massachusetts lists the company's home improvement contractor registration, #196994, as expired.
