Dewey Pest & Wildlife

Dewey Pest & Wildlife is a Hopedale pest control and wildlife company that says it has been in business 35 years. Its own site lists residential, commercial and industrial services including general pest control, wildlife exclusions, trapping and insect control, and says it uses Integrated Pest Management techniques with minimal use of pesticides. It also states 24/7 emergency service. It holds an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau. On a Saturday of a holiday long weekend, they came out within 2 hours and took care of a large bee infestation in an attic. They got rid of a flying squirrel problem and stood behind their warranty, coming out several times after the initial trap setting; Ben, their field tech, is named on that job. At a home surrounded by ant nests, with ants nesting in the subfloor, they treated nesting sites inside and out. For a long-time client, Dewey handled bats in the attic, yellowjackets in the porch fascia and siding, and mice in the house, and Paul inspected for new signs of rodents. They have kept one house in a dense urban environment free of pests through a monthly visit plan. In 2025, Lance dealt with a paper wasp nest. In 2025, they handled a wasp nest quickly for a subscriber to their annual Interior/Exterior Homeowner Service. In 2025, a yearly contract covered ants, termites, ticks and mice, with rechecks of traps or a secondary spray when concerns came up. In 2024, they evacuated a raccoon, patched up the entry points, discouraged climbing routes and installed a chimney cap. In 2024, they went back to reinspect a home where they had found and plugged bat entry points the year before, and Paul also looked for other critter issues. In 2024, they came out the day they were called to treat a hornets nest above a front window, and that customer called them reasonably priced. In 2023, they could not completely solve a yellow jacket problem because of where the nest was inside the house; Dewey explained the process and offered a complete refund.
