DogWatch of the Northshore and Coastal NH puts in hidden dog fences and trains dogs to them. The company says it has been in business 36 years, offers free estimates, and lists a service area on its website that includes Amesbury, Andover, Beverly and Haverhill. A recent Google customer said their dog was running after neighbors and not responding to regular buzz collars, and that after DogWatch came out, the dog is great now with the new boundaries. A recent customer named Sam as the installer and called the business honest and upfront. In a 2023 review, a customer said DogWatch put in an invisible fence in 2022 for a new black lab that would not go outside after its initial training; the customer said the owner came over three times, the last the next day, and fixed the issues. A 2021 customer with two Golden Retrievers said they called on a Tuesday about an invisible fence repair and Sam was out on Wednesday; the job was bigger than they had anticipated, and they said Sam handled it. A 2021 customer who wrote of being a customer for over 17 years said two lightning strikes and breaks caused by landscapers, irrigation installers, pool installers and tree removal contractors had left their dog fence inoperable, and that a call to Dale got it up and running again within a couple of days. A 2025 customer said they traded in a system from another company that was not working properly, and that Dale returned emails the same day. A 2022 customer said the pricing was competitive to the maker, without attempts to up-sell. A 2025 reviewer who did work at the company's address wrote that a Mr. Bill refused to pay the agreed amount after the work was completed, claiming it was done in less time than he anticipated.
I’m very happy with my Dog Watch Fence. The company explained everything very clearly and it has been working very well for us! I’m very pleased!
Great family, Honest and upfront.....Sam the installer was excellent
We have a great pyranese pure bread female that would just NOT listen to us. She was running after neighbors and not responding to regular buzz collars. Dog watch came out. They were so responsive, affordable and easy to work with. Very knowledgeable on the training. I would highly recommend this company. Our dog is great now with the new boundaries. We feel much more comfortable and at ease when we are outside knowing she is safe.
Very pleased with our electronic fence. Our dog, Wednesday, learned its limits very quickly. Our system was down for the winter due to a chewed wire (not our pup or the company’s fault), but Sam and Dale got us fixed up as soon as the snow was managed. Especially pleased with the customer service.
She was amazing and so knowledgeable. She didn't try to upsell me on anything and talked through tips and tricks to make my system work. She helped me troubleshoot my system and made sure everything was working well.
