One recent homeowner called Dowd Plumbing after a water heater stopped working while returning from a trip; Jack came to diagnose it. Dowd Plumbing is based in Stoughton and serves Stoughton, Boston, and surrounding Massachusetts areas. The company says it is family-owned and has served the area for nearly half a century. That July 2026 Google review describes Jack as responsive and professional, and a second review from October 2025 calls the company honest and upfront. Google shows five stars from seven ratings, while its public review history runs from 2025 to 2026 and includes two reviews. BBB lists emergency plumbing and drain repair available 24/7, and BuildZoom shows six projects over three years. Dowd says it provides full-service plumbing, heating, gas fitting, sprinkler, water filtration, boiler, and water-heater work. Its Massachusetts plumber license 3230-PL-C is registry-verified active. Dowd looks suited to homeowners who need plumbing or water-heater help, including urgent repairs. Confirm the exact service, license scope, and any emergency-call terms when you schedule.
“We’ve moved our plumbing (Dowd Plumbing, LLC.) and real estate (Tattoo Realty Management) businesses into it.”
“a Stoughton plumbing contractor that is owed more than $1 million for work it did on the Academy Homes II housing project.”
Ever since I bought my multifamily, Jack has been servicing it every time I need a plumber. He is great, responsive, and professional. On my way home from a trip, I was able to call him because my water heater stopped working and he was at my home diagnosing the problem that evening. I appreciate his quick response and reliability. Thank you!
