Dr Heat and Mr Cool says it serves York, Eliot and Kittery, and it reports 23 years in business. Maine's state registry lists HVAC license MS30011643 as active, with WAYNE D. AVERY II as the holder of record. A 2024 customer from Cape Neddick said their Goodman furnace started acting up during a snowstorm, and Wayne was on the phone within an hour of their message. That 2024 customer said Wayne determined it needed a new heat exchanger and flame manifold; a new, higher-efficiency furnace proved cheaper and faster, and Wayne secured a unit the next morning and had it installed by the end of the day. A 2023 customer said they had used Wayne for 10 years: cleanings, getting their furnace running multiple times, help replacing their chimney and a central air installation. That 2023 customer also said his prices always beat everyone else around. A 2023 customer wrote that the business never called back.
Fake post LLc lol CainCrest?? Whats up? York maine is changing with new home owners. Good Ole boys will be gone soon. Thank God .!!
Cape Neddick resident here, and in the middle of last snowstorm, our Goodman furnace started to act-up. The smell coming out the exhaust was nauseating, and the furnace itself running dangerously hot. I called Wayne, and left a message; and within an hour, he was on the phone with me and set up an appointment. A few hours later, he texted and said he was nearby coming home from a job and could take a look. I was ecstatic since I was worried about the kids in the house and CO2 issues from whatever was wrong. Wayne quickly determined the issue, and sadly, required a new heat exchanger and flame manifold. With a handshake, I asked him to take care of it. This may seem like the end, but given the supply constraints that still exists, it was cheaper and faster to buy a new, higher efficiency, higher BTU furnace. Wayne went out of his way to secure a new unit the next morning, and had it installed by the end of the day. His crew is professional and courteous and did a great job all around. His metal working guys are more of an artist than contractor. I just cannot say enough positive. I have had so many bad experiences over the years, it was refreshing to deal with a neighbor versus a corporation. When I called around town initially, some of the 800 numbers went to out-of-country call-centers that I could not even understand. Others were out of service, while still others have not called back to this day. So, if you need cooling or heat work done, rest-assured, look no more. Call Wayne!
Trustworthy, accommodating and dependable! Wayne is a professional and really cares about his customers. If he does a job, he does it right the first time. He’s definitely the top guy to contact for any heating or cooling needs! Thank you Dr Heat & Mr. Cool for your service! 🇺🇸
I can't say enough good things about Wayne. If I could give him 10 stars out of 5 I would. We have used him since we purchased our house in Maine and had a lot of issues with other hvac guys charging when they couldn't complete the work etc. The list goes on. He has been a stand up reliable honest person to work with for the last 10 years. He does our cleanings has gotten our furnace running multiple times has helped us replace our chimney and he's installed a central air unit. His prices always best everyone else around and he makes it enjoyable to work with him because he's got a great sense of humor. Highly recommend!
Never called back. Highly disappointed.
