Dr. Junk

Twenty-seven reviews, one name, and a written record that stops in 2021. Dr Junk hauls junk out of Billerica — sheds, garages, storage units, evictions, demolition debris — and every customer who describes the work names the same person: John, the owner, who replies to reviews himself and, in a 2015 account, turned up with his son. The praise is unusually specific about pricing and speed, and it runs the same way for a decade. A December 2020 customer wrote that "the bill was EXACTLY as he quoted me… He is a man of his word. No surprises!!" A May 2015 customer had an estimate texted back from photographs, then an in-person visit "on a major holiday on his way to a family party," and afterwards found the yard and a long driveway "free from junk and broom swept." An October 2015 homeowner mid-bathroom-renovation had a yard full of concrete-and-tile bags plus a cast-iron tub cleared, and said John gave the best of several quotes. A November 2020 customer with a mountain of half-rotten logs and no room for machinery had it all cleared by hand, "with zero damage done." Small kindnesses recur too: a December 2020 customer stuck with 100 leaf bags after another contractor walked away, cleared before the winter weather; a June 2015 customer who had a TV and tyres taken at no extra cost. Two things are worth knowing. First, the record is dated — the newest written account is from December 2021, so nothing here tells you how the business runs today, and the Better Business Bureau lists it as a six-person operation with no reviews or complaints of its own. Second, how long it has been going is stated four different ways across its own listings, from "Since 2003" to eighteen, twenty-one and twenty-four years, so treat any tenure claim as approximate. For a shed demolition, a garage or storage-unit cleanout, or debris left behind after a renovation, the historical record here is strong and consistent. Text photographs for the quote — that is how several customers got theirs — and, because the written record is a few years old, ask for a recent local reference before booking.
