Duckman's Pools LLC sells and installs above-ground pools out of 9 South Main Street in Leicester, with a second Massachusetts address on Breakneck Road in Sturbridge. Richard Boulette founded it in 2001 after, by his own account, more than 14 years in the above-ground pool trade, and it has been BBB accredited since 2008 with an A+ rating. The business sits between shop and contractor: it carries Doughboy, HII, Radiant, Cornelius and TREVI pools plus liners, ladders, aluminium decks, filters and spas, and it installs what it sells and replaces liners. Customers describe both halves. A 2024 reviewer had a 28-foot round pool installed the previous summer and said the company kept answering questions long after the job; a 2023 customer had a new pump and filter fitted and was shown how to clean them each year. Staff — Paula and Alicia are both named — come up constantly for water chemistry help: a first-time owner in May 2026 wrote that after a week of a green pool and no luck with the internet, a visit to the shop got the gallons calculated, the water tested and the right chemicals explained. In June 2020 Spectrum News interviewed Boulette about pandemic-era demand, when he said the company had close to 40 orders to fill that summer. A Nextdoor neighbour in March 2026 gave a short recommendation for liner work. What the record does not show is a large recent volume of written accounts — Google carries 4.6 stars from 37 ratings but only 14 review bodies from 2021 to 2026, and just one in the last six months. If you are buying a pool rather than a bag of chemicals, ask about lead times, who does the install, and what the deck or surround adds; one reviewer described their project as "a slow project" still waiting on the deck surround.
