Dupuis Energy is a Pawtucket HVAC and fuel delivery company, and a recent customer who had the central AC system and furnaces replaced called on a Thursday, Chad came out the next day, and they had a detailed quote by Saturday. That customer said the final invoice matched the quote exactly. The company describes itself as a full-service HVAC and fuel delivery business backed by more than 125 years of local experience, installing and repairing heating, cooling, hot water and generator equipment and delivering heating oil and propane. Its stated service area includes Pawtucket, Providence, Cranston, Cumberland and Attleboro. On Google it holds 4 stars from 92 ratings, and the BBB grades it A+. A recent customer said Chad put together a heat pump solution for an older house switching off oil, and Will and Alex made sure the installation went as smoothly as could be hoped for a full overhaul of the HVAC system; that customer said there were hiccups, which the team communicated clearly, with timelines and solutions. A recent customer said sales rep Chad, installers Will and Andrew, and an electrician who came back for follow up handled the install of two mini-split a/c units. A recent customer said a central air system was installed in three days during a heat wave. A longtime customer said scheduling a recent furnace replacement was easy and the employees who did the installation were professional and courteous. A 2021 r/providence commenter said they used Dupuis out of Pawtucket and that it was full service. A 2024 r/RhodeIsland commenter said they were a fan of Dupuis. A valleybreeze.com article listed Dupuis Energy among the top five in a local field that T.H. Malloy & Sons won. A 2022 r/RhodeIsland commenter said Dupuis had very bad customer service as well as a lot of sketchy clauses in its contract. A BBB reviewer complained after asking the office manager to stop an automatic oil delivery.
“I am a fan of Dupuis.”
“Petro is a ripoff and Dupuis has very bad customer service as well as a lot of sketchy clauses in their contract.”
“We shopped around and landed on Dupuis. This year they're capped at 4.99, but if you sign up for their service plan they take 10 cents off.”
“We use Dupuis out of Pawtucket and they're full service.”
“T.H. Malloy & Sons Inc., of Cumberland, won first, while others in the top five here included Wesco Oil, Dupuis Energy, Consumers Propane, and Kafin Oil.”
I've been a longtime Dupuis customer and recently needed my furnace replaced. Scheduling was easy, and the employees who did the installation were professional and courteous.
Dupuis managed our oil furnace for a couple years before we decided to switch out to heat pumps, and frankly, both sides of the equation were great. When we had them for maintenance their office was responsive, their service teams were professional, and their prices reasonable. When we eventually switched from oil to heat pumps, Chad did a great job putting together a solution targeted to our home, and Will and Alex made sure the installation went as smoothly as you could hope for having to fully overhaul the HVAC system of an older house. Were there hiccups? sure, but the team communicated them clearly when they ran into them, gave me timelines, and found solutions. I was (and continue to be) happy with Dupuis' services.
Very satisfied with install of two mini split a/c units. All staff were professional and accommodating - from sales rep. Chad to installers Will & Andrew to electrician who came back for follow up. Highly recommended team overall!
Five Stars!!! Gold Stars!!! The entire team, from sales to installation went above and beyond expectations. A central air system was installed in three days! The team was professional, knowledgeable, and fun to have around. The heat wave did not affect their determination or professionalism. Dupuis Energy was recommended by a friend-I, too, would recommend Dupuis Energy to all in need of the services provided by the company. G
Dupuis Energy recently replaced my central AC system and furnaces, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I received quotes from several companies, and Dupuis was one of the most competitively priced and significantly less expensive than other bigger companies. What really stood out though was their responsiveness. I called on a Thursday, Chad came out the next day, and I had a detailed quote in hand by Saturday. From start to finish, they did exactly what they said they were going to do. Every time they scheduled a visit, they showed up on time, which isn’t something you can take for granted these days. The installation crew was professional, personable, and respectful of my home. They kept the work areas clean throughout the project, and it was obvious they took pride in their craftsmanship. The job was actually completed slightly ahead of schedule, and the final invoice matched the quote exactly, not a dollar more. It’s now been a few months, and everything has been running flawlessly. The installation looks clean and well organized, and I appreciated that they never tried to upsell me on equipment or services I didn’t need. It never felt like I was being sold an HVAC system. Instead, it felt like I was getting really solid advice from people who wanted me to make the best decision for my home. Overall, the entire process was straightforward, streamlined, and stress-free. If you’re looking for a company that communicates well, shows up when they say they will, charges a fair price, and takes pride in their work, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dupuis!
