Of the two dozen reviews Durable Remodeling has collected since 2017, half describe a deck: built new, swapped from rotting wood to Azek or composite, expanded, or re-railed. A July 2026 customer who gathered quotes from six companies put Durable right in the middle on price and hired them to replace an older wood deck with Azek. Another, the same month, said Dean returns calls, shows up when he says he is coming, and was honest about what the job needed. Dean Willette owns and runs the Brockton company, which also handles windows, siding, roofing and bath, kitchen and basement remodeling across the South Shore and into the North Shore. Repeat customers run through it: a July 2026 reviewer has used them over the years for windows, a new roof and new siding and was having a porch replaced; a December 2024 customer came back after about eight years when the wood railing on their deck began to rot. The older accounts fill in the range. In a 2020 review, the owners of a 120-year-old Colonial whose front portico and side entrance were falling apart had a brand new front porch built. Another 2020 customer had siding, gutters and five sliding glass doors replaced, and said the quote was reasonable with no upselling — though those doors carried a long lead time. A 2017 reviewer's deck went up in less than a week with everything put back and clean. Not everyone gets that far. A July 2026 Angi reviewer never got past the estimate call: they described the person who answered as arrogant and unprofessional and seemingly uninterested, especially once they mentioned their house is located in Dorchester, and said they were asked personal questions. A 2017 HomeAdvisor reviewer left one star, writing that they were completely unsatisfied with the work and would never hire them again. Angi carries 158 ratings at 4.9, with Google and HomeAdvisor both at 4.7, and the BBB grades the company A+, though it is not BBB accredited. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #188569, is active on the state registry, and the company's site lists construction supervisor licence #749563 for Dean Willette. For a deck, a porch, or an exterior package of windows, siding and roof, this is a small owner-run outfit whose customers describe kept start dates and clean sites. Get the material — Azek, composite or wood — and the start window written down with the price, and ask early about lead times on anything ordered, since that is where one customer's job slowed.
