A whole-house conversion to ductless mini-splits, finished on budget and on schedule — that is the kind of job Dynatemp gets called for, right alongside the July morning when the central AC quits. The Essex shop covers heating, cooling and refrigeration for homes and businesses across eastern Massachusetts: furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, mini-splits and indoor air-quality equipment. It says it started in 2001, which would put it a quarter-century in. Its Massachusetts sheet metal license, 807-SM-B, is active and held under Dynatemp HVAC Contractors LLC. On Google it carries 4.8 stars from 16 ratings, and the comments that come with text keep landing on the same beat: somebody turns up, works out what is wrong, and finishes it before leaving. "Came right out after my request, did the maintenance, found and fixed the problem, all in the same visit," one customer wrote in July 2026. The same names keep reappearing, which usually means a settled crew rather than a rotating cast. A July 2026 account of the mini-split conversion credits Mark and Tom with the design and coordination and Jeff and Joe with the install. Another July 2026 reviewer said Dynatemp had put three units into two of their properties over more than ten years, and that all three had run trouble-free. Back in 2024, a homeowner with no central AC in the middle of a heatwave described Tom making time to look at options — they went a different way in the end and still recommended him. One recent snag is worth raising: parts. In July 2026 a four-star reviewer asked, bluntly, why a replacement PC board took eight weeks and whether the manufacturer had been chased for a shorter lead time. Ask up front how they source components and what happens when a board is on backorder. The written history runs 2021 to 2026 and sits almost entirely on Google — ten comments with text, not a hundred — so this is a real but narrow read. NATE and EPA certification are the company's own claims from its website; both are easy enough to ask it to show you. For a North Shore homeowner weighing a mini-split conversion, or wanting a heating system looked at by a crew that tends to finish the visit it starts, this is a reasonable call.
“Service was excellent! I have used Dynatemp several times and always been great. Joey was the service person - helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant!”
The guys came on time. They were nice and informative and did a great job serving my unit.
8 weeks for a replacement pc board is another much. Have you considered calling the manufacturer for help to reduce lead time ?
Came right out after my request, did the maintenance, found and fixed the problem , all in the same visit.
Great people and service.
So glad I recommended Dynatech to my sister-in-law. Joe was great, 5 STARS to the Dynatemp for diagnosing several issues not determine by another company. I have + 10yrs experience with Dynatech who installed 3 units in my 2 properties that have been problem free. I highly recommend you use Dynateh for your HVAC needs. Albert
