Ecologic Entomology

Ecologic Entomology is a Boston pest-control company built around a personal history: the site says Jonathan Boyar founded it after a childhood accident with improperly stored insecticide, and campaigned against harmful pesticides before the Taunton City Council as a teenager. He runs it with company president Ken Spencer, and the business says it has been at this for forty years, covering residential and commercial work — rodents, bed bugs, termites, mosquitoes, fleas and ticks, stinging insects — across the greater Boston metro area. What customers write about is almost always a technician by name. Vander, Mark, Lenny, John, Don Machado, Michael, Shaun and Declan turn up again and again in accounts through 2025 and 2026, and the praise is specific: an April 2026 customer had a technician check from basement to attic, treat the exterior of a historic home, then explain everything in plain terms before leaving; a September 2025 customer had Shaun remove a large hornets' nest; another that month credited an eye for finding elusive wasps. Property managers make up a good share of the accounts. One writing in February 2026 describes six months of service on a commercial building where the technician identified entry points and left detailed reports after every visit rather than rushing through; an April 2026 customer has them servicing four locations; a November 2025 customer praises how organised the reports and documents are. An October 2025 customer who had just switched pest-control companies singled out the after-visit report and the phone support. One account runs the other way. In October 2024 a long-standing customer wrote that technicians had recently been leaving a mess behind, with pesticide powders spilled on the floors, and noted that this is not great with pets in the house. It is worth asking how clean-up is handled and what is used where animals or children are around. The written history is large and recent — 79 accounts between 2021 and 2026, with a 4.8-star average across 148 Google ratings — and the state's Supplier Diversity Office lists the company's LGBT Business Enterprise certification as active through August 2027. For a recurring pest programme on a home or a managed property, this is a solid call; ask which technician will be assigned and what the visit reports will cover.
