Ed Merry Master Electrician Inc. is a small, owner-operated electrical contractor based in West Yarmouth, run by Ed Merry together with his partner Becky, who the company's own site says have worked together for almost 20 years. BBB describes it as a full-service electrical contractor offering residential and commercial wiring, troubleshooting and repair, panel and service upgrades, standby generator installation (Generac Power Systems), and solar-array electrical wiring done alongside Sunwind LLC. It states it serves a stretch of Cape Cod running from Sandwich to Eastham. Customers who left reviews in 2019 described him as knowledgeable, efficient, clean, and trustworthy. One reviewer, whose original electrician had backed out a week before a kitchen installation, said Ed Merry stepped in, treated her cabinets carefully, explained what electrical work was needed to meet code, and finished the job to her satisfaction. Both reviews on Google are five stars, and BBB - where the business is not accredited - gives it an A+ rating with no complaints or government actions on file. Those are the only two written reviews currently on record, both dated 2019. Licensing is worth checking directly with the state before booking. A Massachusetts license number associated with this business by BuildZoom (100093) comes back in the state registry as active, but under a different named holder, and BuildZoom's own listing of that same number describes it as an active real-estate Salesperson credential, not an electrician's license. Other license numbers BuildZoom associates with the business (17137, 35745, 17007) are a mix of active-but-unverified entries and inactive ones with a status BuildZoom says was at one point cancelled. None of this confirms a currently valid Massachusetts electrician license under Ed Merry's or the business's own name. For small to mid-size residential electrical work - troubleshooting, wiring, generator installs - on Cape Cod, the two available reviews and the company's long operating history point to a careful, communicative operator. A homeowner should ask to see current MA electrician licensure directly before booking.
