Thomas, Colton, James, Molly, Ruby, Connor: a December 2024 reviewer credits Thomas with tracing a dead heating unit and fixing it inside a 30-minute window; an August 2024 customer had Thomas and Luke replace an outlet, a switch and a light fixture in one visit and said they talked through each step as they went. The company says it started in 2015 as an electrical contractor and added heating and cooling as clients asked for it, and its Massachusetts electrician licence, number 3168, is active on the state registry under EHC Inc. It works out of Columbus Avenue in the South End and lists a service area running from Greater Boston to the South Shore, Worcester County, Foxborough and Cape Cod. The jobs people describe cover both trades: panel replacements, breaker and outlet faults, recessed lighting and an EV charger connectivity problem on one side; thermostats, condo air conditioning and multi-head ductless systems on the other. The company calls itself a Mitsubishi and Fujitsu certified dealer. After a storm in 2021 pulled the power lines off one house, a reviewer wrote that James kept them posted through the rewiring until the meter was back on. Where customers push back is the front desk, not the van. A $60 estimate fee comes up again and again. A January 2024 customer paid it for an ERV quote and says the quote never arrived, even after two follow-ups. EHC is a sound call for licensed electrical work and ductless heating and cooling in a Boston condo or older house, particularly if you want the same technicians back on the next job. Before booking, get the estimate fee in writing — what it costs, what it buys, and whether it credits against the work — and agree a date for the written quote to land.
