One review in the whole written record, and a licence question sitting right next to it — that is the honest state of Elite Remodeling & Construction, a Marblehead outfit at 17 McKinley Road run by Slava Glikberg. The permits show a working remodeling contractor rather than a paper company. Three sit on file: a $95,000 job on Leicester Road in Marblehead permitted in May 2024 covering a kitchen, two bathrooms, an added half-bath and cosmetic repairs through the house; a $12,700 deck replacement in 2023; and a $42,000 removal and in-kind replacement of three levels of porches on Beacon Street in Brookline. Its Houzz listing names Beverly, Danvers, Essex, Marblehead, Nahant, Peabody, Revere and Swampscott as the towns it covers. The sole review, posted to Houzz in February 2024, described a bathroom remodel as fast and beautiful and said the price came in below the competition. That is one voice on one job, which is not enough to characterise how the company works. Before calling, resolve the registration. BuildZoom lists Massachusetts number 191721 for this business with an expiration date of 8 May 2022, marks it inactive, and says the status was at one point cancelled; the score of zero it assigns is stated to be a consequence of that unverified licence, not of anything a customer reported. Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is not optional for kitchen, bath and porch work of this size, so ask Slava Glikberg for a current registration number and check it yourself with the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation before signing anything. Two smaller things are worth noticing. The Houzz profile prints a placeholder phone number, (781) 111-1111, rather than a working one — BuildZoom lists 781-443-5400. And the Houzz service list runs past fifty checkbox entries, including 'Structural Engineering' and 'Home Inspection', which are separately licensed professions in Massachusetts and not something a remodeling contractor performs; read that list as a directory form, not a statement of capability.

Perfect team. Staff is professional and very knowledgeable! Made my bath's remodeling project fast and beautiful. And price was cheaper than the competition. Jax (Sensitive Information Hidden).
