Eugene Farina — known to his customers simply as Geno — runs a one-man electrical business out of Wakefield, with 27 years in the trade behind him. He's a Master Electrician who does his own work start to finish, and the reviews back that up: 84 ratings across Angi and HomeAdvisor average 4.9 stars, with the same jobs coming up again and again — panel upgrades, EV chargers, service calls. What sets the record apart is how specific the praise is. A 2025 review describes him routing a 240-volt line for a new electric range past a built-in china cabinet, an open stairway and a tile wall — the kind of job that takes real problem-solving, not just wiring. In a 2021 review, a homeowner needed a meter relocated and a new 200-amp service run, work that required concrete drilling; Geno handled it and, when the street connection needed more reach, showed up with a bucket truck the next day. Another 2021 account describes him coming out the same morning a customer's power failed and fixing it before nightfall. EV chargers are clearly a specialty — several reviews from 2021 through 2024 describe him installing home charging stations, including a ChargePoint Home Flex unit, with more than one customer saying they'd call him again for future electrical work. Panel upgrades and replacements come up just as often, alongside smaller jobs like swapping fluorescent fixtures for LED and adding an exterior outlet. The one thing worth knowing: in a 2021 review, a customer who was otherwise happy with an EV charger install said there was slight room for improvement on post-job cleanup — a minor point, but the kind of specific the record doesn't hide. Both directory profiles — Angi and HomeAdvisor — carry the identical review history and 4.9-star average, which is the normal syndication between the two platforms rather than two separate confirmations. Between the volume of detailed, named-job reviews and the consistency running back to 2021, this reads like a dependable call for anything from a routine panel swap to a trickier wiring job — just confirm scheduling directly, since he works solo.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Eugene Farina. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.

Geno and his colleague, Carl, were creative, efficient, and professional! We gave them a difficult challenge: Installing a 240-volt receptacle for a new electric range and wiring it from the electric panel, past a built-in china cabinet, past an open stairway, and past a tile wall. They figured how to get from the panel to the location of the new recepticle, and cleaned up afterwards. We highly recommend Gino and his team! Arthur
Geno is highly experienced, skilled and diligent, He did a great job for a reasonable price, communicated well, and showed up when he said he would.
Geno installed a ChargePoint Home Flex J1772 Hardwired charger at my home. He was prompt, reasonably priced, professional, gave great advice and friendly during the entire project! I highly recommend if you need an EV install Geno is the person for the job. I plan on hiring him for additional electrical needs in the future.
Eugene did a perfect job (replacing old faulty 200amp panel), he is very professional and friendly, I highly recommend him
Geno was very professional, friendly, and prompt. Showed some creativity and expertise when the needed part wasn't available. I would hire him again and absolutely recommend him. I wish my experiences with other contractors were as good as this.
