Everything Quality Construction is a Framingham general contractor Matt Rufo has owned and operated since 2011, working carpentry, masonry, decks and patios, tile work, and both interior and exterior painting around MetroWest. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, verified against the state registry, and the Better Business Bureau gives it an A+ grade under Painting Contractors — the category it's actually listed under, even though the website frames the business as a broader remodeling generalist. There isn't much to go on here: two ratings, more than a decade apart. A December 2025 Google review calls the crew punctual and professional, though it doesn't get into specifics of the job. The other, a detailed Houzz review from 2014, tells a different story — the customer says a roughly $5,360 exterior trim-painting job was billed as finished after three and a half days when the promised scraping, sanding, and priming on the window and door trim was never done, and that raising it with the owner got treated as a personal insult rather than addressed. Before booking, it's worth walking the scope of work in writing — what surface prep is included, and when it happens relative to painting — given that the one detailed account on file describes exactly that step being skipped. BuildZoom also shows an earlier registration number that went inactive before the current one was issued, though nothing here explains why. The state license is current and the BBB grade is solid, but the only detailed customer account is a serious complaint, and it's the only exterior-painting job described in any depth. Anyone hiring for painting or exterior trim work should confirm the prep process and get it spelled out in the estimate.
“Rufo, owner of Framingham-based Everything Quality Construction, admits he hated reading and writing as a high school student.”
Matt and the crew are the best at what they do. Punctual, professional, quality and value from beginning to end. Highly recommend, they have done wire for me for many years !
Not only will I not recommend to friends needing work. I will go out of my way to make a point of mentioning the company specifically to those living near the business because of the way I was treated. I gave the owner an opportunity to remedy the situation. He choose to view it as a personal attack on his integrity and felt "insulted". Insulting is the way I was treated and charged for an extremely poor job. Direct quote for job that was completed last week: "Exterior painting of all trim on the house and the garage. Stain on all upper green colored areas. Sand and scrape all areas, prime and paint all brown trim areas of the house and garage. All window trim approximately 29 windows. Exterior Benjamin Moore stain and paint. Approximately 2 weeks. All materials and labor 2-3 men. Total- $5,360.00" I was told after less than 3 1/2 days that the job was completed. I was at work so I asked for clarification "all the scraping, sanding, priming and painting was done already?". Then I was told the owner "pulled 9 people from other jobs" so he could complete it quicker. Unfortunately for him my immediate neighbors are retired and both were home the majority of those 3 days. In addition a parent was visiting one of the neighbors (a family friend) for almost an entire day. There were 2-3 people working on this project. No more. There was no scraping, sanding or priming done to any of the window/door trims. Please judge for yourselves the "quality" of the work completed and paid for. These pictures were taken less than a week after this "quality" job was completed.
