A June 2026 customer called F&W Pest Control worried about German cockroaches. After speaking with inspector Scott and sending him a photo, the customer said the insects were identified as Pennsylvania wood roaches instead, and praised his explanation and advice. Other customers describe ongoing pest control: an October 2025 reviewer says quarterly inspections made a substantial difference at a wooded property, while an April 2025 customer in Sherborn credits Chris Miga with resolving mice problems. F&W says it handles residential and commercial pest management across eastern Massachusetts, including termite, bed bug, mosquito and wildlife control. It describes a four-generation family business founded in 1935 by the current owners' great-grandfather. Its Wrentham address is on Stonewall Boulevard. Google lists a 4.7-star average from 486 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau gives it an A+ grade. Missed calls and appointments are concrete complaints. In August 2026, a customer says promised callbacks never came after separate calls about carpenter ants and wasps. They also report an unanswered portal question about being charged twice in one month and say they canceled the account. An August 2025 reviewer describes waiting at home for a bee-treatment appointment after a two-week booking delay; nobody arrived, a text went unanswered, and the office subsequently gave a different appointment date. A May 2025 customer says an inspector never called to schedule, a quote arrived three weeks later from someone they had not spoken with, and requests to speak with a manager went unresolved. Treatment scope and results drew complaints too. In March 2025, a customer says a rat remained uncaught after two months under a year-long contract despite hole filling and traps; the household later caught it using supplies they bought themselves. A November 2024 reviewer says an attic concern led only to an exterior visit and a $145 routine-service charge, without the follow-up call they requested. A May 2024 customer reports that treatment covered the house exterior but omitted the front and back yards they had requested, and says attempts to obtain a resolution or partial refund went nowhere. Older complaints include a September 2022 customer who expected entry-hole patching but says the $250 service provided bait without patching, and an August 2022 customer who reports a charge after a hornet-nest visit that never occurred. A September 2023 reviewer also alleges charges for services not performed and difficulty reaching a manager. These are customers' accounts, rather than established findings. A March 2022 reviewer reports poisonous bait traps left within dogs' reach and almost $3,500 in veterinary bills and antidote costs. Separately, a January 2022 customer praised Scott's advice for tackling carpet beetles themselves, saying the insects had all but disappeared after following his instructions.
“said Jim Merrill, operations manager at F&W Pest Control, which has offices in Framingham and Wrentham.”
We were pretty disappointed with our service. 2 times we called, earlier this year because we found 2 carpenter ants in our home and we wanted it checked out. Then again we called earlier this month for a wasp situation on our property. Both times we were told that someone would call us back, both times we were never contacted (the second time I informed them we were ignored the previous time). My wife left a post in the customer portal, since she held the account, awhile back asking why were charged twice one month, no one even bothered to look at it (why bother having it). Overall pretty dissatisfied with our experience, canceled our account and will not be going back.
I called F&W for help with a roach problem. After making an appointment, an inspector, Scott, called with questions. I thought I had a German Cockroach problem. I found four in the past few days. After research, I found out that this is a serious problem. We were freaking out. After talking to Scott and texting a photo of the roach, we found out we had a Pennsylvania Wood Roach...not a serious problem. They're very similar in appearance but behave differently. Thank goodness! With Scott's honest explanation & advice, we felt so much better...we saved a lot of time & trouble. Thank you F&W for communicating so well and being so friendly.
F&W is extremely professional and reliable , and their receptionist Jackie is always so pleasant and accommodating. We have a contract with them and they come quarterly, doing follow up inspections and addressing any new problems or concerns we have. We live in the woods and get every rodent and insect you can imagine , and we have noticed a huge difference since we started working with them. They are 5/5, We feel at ease knowing they are just a phone call away.
I called on July 21 to make an appointment to get rid of bees we were having an issue with and was told they were booking the week of August 4.I hadn’t expected to wait 2 weeks for an appointment but took the first one available which was Monday Aug 4.I was told they don’t give a time so I made sure to be home all day. When I hadn’t heard from anyone by 2:30 I tried to call the landline but the phone never rang so I found another number on the website that said I could text and sent a text asking if someone was still coming to our house. I never got a reply and nobody ever showed up.When I called the next morning and explained what happened, the woman told me she had no notes that said I had an appointment on the 4th but I was scheduled on Aug 25, which was absolutely NOT true…no apology offered for a no show or lack of text response.I get that things sometimes happen and schedules get messed up,but not being honest doesn’t give much confidence in how the business is run.
Don’t waste your time! Called to get an inspector to come out was told by Jackie I would get a call following day to schedule. Never heard back. 3 weeks later I received a quote from Shane. I never spoken with. I called a couple of times to speak with a manager. Jackie stated on the first time manager would call me in a couple of days. After a week I called back told Jackie I’d like to speak with manager. She had Shane the inspector call me. Seriously sketchy all around! No managers to speak with and keep pushing contract. Stay away. I went with another great company.
