Ask a Femme Works customer what stuck with them and many of them start with the clock: crews pulling up at 7 a.m., sometimes early enough that they wait in their trucks until the agreed hour rather than knock. The North Andover company works one narrow lane — asbestos and vermiculite abatement — and its Better Business Bureau profile lists the full range: asbestos testing and inspection, pipe insulation and siding removal, tile and mastic work, mold remediation, decontamination, and interior or selective demolition. Customers name Miguel, whom reviewers describe as the owner, as the person who scopes the job and answers the phone. The written history runs deep for a specialty shop: 125 reviews from 2022 through 2026 across nine sources, including 5.0 on Google from 109 ratings and 5.0 apiece on HomeAdvisor (54), Angi (54) and Thumbtack (44). Thirty-three of those reviews landed in the last six months, none negative. The specifics repeat rather than vary — a crew cleared vermiculite and old fiberglass from two attics in five hours and left them spotless; an asbestos fire wall board removal began with Miguel walking the homeowner through what to expect before anyone touched the material; another abatement started at 7 a.m. and was finished by 9. Containment and cleanup are the other constant. Reviewers describe barriers going up to seal the house before removal starts, hazmat suits in the attic, before-and-after photos of the treated space, and work areas left clear enough that one homeowner said the vacuum noise was the only sign anyone had been there. In an August 2025 review, a customer said he found Miguel more cordial and cooperative than the other outfits he had dealt with; a March 2025 reviewer who hit an asbestos pipe mid-basement-renovation got a written proposal quickly. A few things to pin down before booking. Licensing: the BBB page lists a Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs registration (210956, shown as expiring January 2028) and a BBRS licence (AC1123, expiring March 2027) — those are the bureau's listings, so ask to see the credentials themselves. Sequencing: if you are coming through Mass Save, know where they sit in the order, since several customers hired them for the abatement phase ahead of electrical and insulation work done by others. And an undated listing on loadwrap.com notes a roadside inspection for the company with one out-of-service violation — background rather than a current problem, but it is there. Femme Works is the right call for the specific job of getting hazardous material out of a house safely and on schedule — a one-day attic or basement clearance, cleaned up and certified. Confirm the licence numbers directly, get the clearance paperwork in writing, and expect an early start.
“Roadside inspection, 1 out-of-service violation.”
Femme Works Solutions did an amazing job. All very nice workers showed up early as stated and waited in their cars because they were a tad early which I didn't mind because it was a hot day and I'd rather, they start early before it got too hot. They cleaned up well after and came to let me know everything was all set before leaving. Thank you!
Quick and courteous asbestos abatement!
Miguel has it al under control! helpful, knowledgeable, A+ person and the crew showed up on time and worked hard all day...A+ for them too!!!
Femmeworks was hired through the MassSave program and was the first contractor to work on my project which requires 3 phases. (abatement, electric, insulation). I've worked with other abatement companies in the past, and have seen the ugly side of abatement teams...this was NOT the case with Femme Works Solutions!! I was thoroughly impressed with their side of the project! The communication leading up to the start day, set-up, execution and breakdown/cleanup. Their crew was on time, polite and professional the whole day. They completed the project early, cleaned up and left my space very clean, sent finished pictures as well. Very professional!
I had a fantastic experience with Femme Works removing the vermiculite insulation from my attic! The crew arrived promptly at 7 a.m.; everyone was professional, friendly, and very kind. They treated my home and my family with so much respect, and I feel so much more at ease now knowing the attic is free and clear of vermiculite! My contractor with Mass Save chose Femme Works’ bid, and I could not be more pleased with the service I received.
