Ferguson Construction is Chris's small outfit in Salem, and its three reviews tell two different stories. Renovation and carpentry work is not exempt from registration in Massachusetts, so ask whether it has been renewed before committing. For a porch, a deck or a run of exterior stairs, the two people who did hire him were happy with both the result and the price. Pin down responsiveness up front — a written schedule and an agreed way to reach him — and settle the registration question before any money moves.
