Odds & Ends looks less like a one-hour punch-list outfit and more like the number people call when a house project gets messy. In the last six months on Google, homeowners describe a backyard deck replacement, basement walls redone after old wallpaper was removed, finish-stage bathroom work, and a set of old doors that turned into a harder repair once they were opened up. The company says it provides handyman, remodeling, and masonry-related services for residential and commercial customers around Salem and Peabody, and BBB lists the Salem business as 21 years in business. The thread through the recent reviews is communication before the work starts and while it is underway. One homeowner says Cliff brought samples and laid out price options for a deck job; others describe him as responsive, punctual, and fair on pricing, and a January reviewer says Tony kept at a set of intricate old doors even after the repair became more involved. Several recent reviews mention Cliff by name, and one identifies him as the owner. The rating picture is clear. Google shows 4.9 stars from 67 ratings, and BBB shows 5.0 stars with an A+ grade. The recent Google reviews available from January through May 2026 are all five-star, and they cover a wide enough mix of work that this does not read like a company living off one narrow specialty. The main thing to pin down is scope. The bathroom jobs people describe are finish work — painting, cabinets, light fixture mounting, and caulking — rather than a documented full-room rebuild, even though bathroom remodel is the category many people will first see. Several jobs also involve Cliff plus crew members or named colleagues, so ask who will actually be onsite and whether Cliff stays your day-to-day contact. If you need one company for repairs, carpentry, and smaller remodel items, this looks like a practical call. Before booking, confirm whether your project fits their handyman lane or a larger remodel lane, and get the exact crew plan for your job.

Cliff and his crew were absolutely incredible in replacing our worn out backyard deck. The thing I most appreciate about Cliff is his excellent and detailed communication - all the way from the estimate, to bringing samples and laying out price options, all the way through installation and even post-installation.

I can tell that he puts a lot of thought and effort into making sure that he does his work with the utmost quality, asking detailed questions, and really feeling like he's on your side throughout the whole process - plus he's an excellent and super nice guy to boot! The work he and his crew did speaks for itself and our whole family (including our dog) love our new deck. We'll definitely have him back as our regular handyman in the near future. Highly recommend.

I recently hired Cliff (Odds & Ends Handyman Service) to fix our basement walls, which previously had old wallpaper. He replaced it with panel sheets, and the transformation is excellent. The work was done professionally, with great attention to detail, and the final result looks clean and modern. He was reliable, efficient, and clearly skilled at what he does. I’m very happy with the outcome and would definitely recommend his services to anyone needing similar work. Great work!

I needed to finish my bathroom renovation (some painting, cabinets and light fixture mounting), and Cliff with his colleague were amazing. Accurate, punctual and honest. The price was also reasonable. We are planning to use Cliff for the other upcoming home projects.

These guys are great. Cliff, the owner was extremely responsive, accommodating, and very fair with pricing. Tony fixed 4 extremely old, difficult, and intricate doors in our home. These doors were like onions, the more he peeled back the worse it got.. but he stuck with it and fixed them all for us. Also, he was so friendly and easy to talk to. I'm so glad I didn't try to do this on my own and trusted the professionals. Definitely recommend them.
