I paid this contractor over $35,000 for windows, vinyl siding, and gutters. Initially, I left a positive review on HomeAdvisor, which I now regret and will be amending. They failed to install a gutter and downspout on one side of my home, leaving water to pool and overflow against the house and driveway. I literally have a waterfall on one side of my house. I provided clear photo and video evidence; they came out twice and insisted there was no issue. After years of ongoing problems — including dangerous ice buildup in the winter against my roof and turning my driveway into an ice skating rink — they finally returned, acknowledged the problem, and admitted it needed to be fixed. The issue is simple: a proper gutter and downspout were never installed. Instead, what was left is essentially a bowl along one side of the house that collects water and overflows — something they initially considered “acceptable.” Joe asked whether there had been a gutter and downspout there before their work — there absolutely was. His response was, “then we missed it and need to fix it.” Since then, they have repeatedly no-showed scheduled repair dates and stopped returning calls altogether. I have left multiple voicemails and text messages requesting that they correct their work and have been ignored. This has been a costly lesson: do not assume they will stand behind their work once the job is paid. Their pricing may be competitive, but the results were not.

Joe and crew replaced my vinyl siding and 25 windows. I got several bids and his was the lowest with the same or even better materials. I'm thrilled with the finished product. This is a family run business and Joe is trustworthy, honest with old-school integrity. I highly recommend Mello's Contracting and will use them again for future projects. 5*

I evaluated 3 contractors. Joe knew the trade, construction, and potential issues. His price was in the middle. His knowledge and problem solving on the job left me with full confidence!! He and his crew were amazing from to finish! I was totally impressed. Now, I am thinking about a siding project and window replacementâ ¦.. NO question I will use Melloâ  s Contractingâ ¦.. Richard
