Old hardwood is the job people hire Finesse LLC for. The Lowell, Massachusetts floor company shows 4.8 stars from 31 ratings on both HomeAdvisor and Angi, and Bruno, the name that comes up in most of its 23 written reviews, has been refinishing floors for customers since at least 2016. The stories are specific. In a March 2018 review, a homeowner said floors that were 100 years old looked brand new, and that the crew would stay late to stay on schedule. A September 2023 customer pulled up wall-to-wall carpet, found hardwood that needed refinishing and significant repairs, and wrote that virtually no dust was left behind. Dust comes up in older accounts too: a 2016 customer hired Bruno and Co. mainly for dustless sanding, and another that year said the fear of dust residue everywhere turned out to be unnecessary. A June 2025 review said Finesse came in a pinch to refinish floors after a previous contractor did a poor job, and that the crew is familiar with Loba finishes. A July 2020 reviewer pointed to finish products from Germany and attention to detail on staining. Fixes after the fact show up as well. In a July 2016 review, a customer whose husband wanted something different said he came back the next day and made the change. The newest review, from August 2026, says that when there was an issue, Bruno and his team resolved it to the customers' satisfaction. Two reviews went the other way. A September 2025 customer gave three stars, writing that nobody asked which finish they wanted, the floors came out many shades different, and the crew failed to show up twice for an agreed extra tinted coat. An August 2018 customer said the installation appointment was canceled the night before, and while one room came out well, a second installer left so many marks on newly painted walls that most of the room needed repainting. That 2025 customer's advice was to be very careful communicating what you want.
