Ask anyone who hired Fonesi Construction what they actually got, and the answer usually involves tile. Glass tile in an entry hall. Marble in a bathroom. A backsplash, a re-tiled kitchen floor, a shower threshold repaired and a stone slab set to raise a built-in bench. Across 33 Google ratings averaging 5★ and 13 HomeAdvisor reviews averaging 5.0, that is the thread that keeps reappearing. The company works out of Hyannis, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, held in the company's own name. It says it was established in 2018 and brings more than ten years in the trade — its own claim, and one worth pinning down, since its HomeAdvisor profile puts the number at eight years. Where the jobs get bigger, the accounts get more specific. A June 2025 reviewer described a tired 1950s bathroom at a Cape cottage rebuilt into something else entirely: glass-enclosed shower, new window, all new tile, lots of added lighting. In a 2022 review, a homeowner walked through a gutted tub bathroom where a wall moved, a pocket door went in, and shelving, a vanity, a medicine cabinet and an exhaust fan followed. Another customer, writing in February 2025, had a garage turned into a real room. So this is not only a tile crew — though tile is what most people call about. Two habits recur often enough to count on. The first is the calendar: customers write that the crew arrived when promised, finished when promised, and stayed within budget. The second is the housekeeping — a 2025 reviewer noted the site cleaned up every day before the crew left, and another said they showed real respect for the house. Worth noting who else hires them: a designer who wrote in February 2025 has used the team for years, and a general contractor called them one of their favorite subs in March 2025. Trade repeat business is a different kind of vote than a homeowner's. Two things to check before calling. The HomeAdvisor half of the history is dated — all thirteen of those accounts were written between 2020 and 2023 — so the Google reviews are the better guide to how they work now. And while the company advertises structural additions alongside kitchens and baths, the jobs customers actually describe are tile, bathroom renovations and that garage conversion; if you are planning an addition, ask to see one. HomeAdvisor also lists a Massachusetts construction supervisor licence, CS-122195, for the business, which is that directory's listing rather than a state verification. For a bathroom rebuild, or any job where the tile is the thing you will look at every morning, this is a straightforward call. Ask for photos of a project the size of yours, get the scope in writing, and note that its HomeAdvisor profile says Spanish is spoken if that matters in your household.
Contacting Fonesi Construction was the best decision. They were professional, knowledgeable, they gave me different options of what would work best for me. I wouldn't hesitate to contact them for future projects. I highly recommend Fonesi Construction.
Great job! Clean, friendly. My tile is perfect. I would recommend them 100%
Leo and Company are the best! They show up when they say they’re gonna show up and the work is top notch.
Leo and his crew did a complete bathroom remodel at our cottage on the Cape. Completely transformed a 1950’s tired bathroom into an updated oasis with a glass enclosed shower, new window, all new tile and lots of lighting. They were very professional and took great care to not disrupt the non-work areas. As with any old house, of course you come across unexpected challenges, but they worked to minimize the impact. The project was completed on time and on budget. Since this first project, we’ve hired Leo to do four other updates to the cottage including new interior doors, a new granite front step, deck replacement and porch screen replacements.
I have used Leonel on four different projects over the years and we always get compliments on his work. About to add tile to a new bathroom and will use him for the 5th time later this summer. I have no hesitation recommending him and have sent many people his way.
