Stairs keep coming up. In a May 2026 Google review, a homeowner said GE Builders rebuilt their very old basement steps in two days, adding 1.5 inches to the treads, which had been the main problem; an April 2026 Thumbtack customer had over-100-year-old stairs renovated and said they would hire the team again. The Medford carpentry shop, which has traded as GE Builders, GE Carpentry and GE Finish Carpentry, says on its website that it rebranded in 2026 as Palladio Cabinetry, a custom cabinet maker focused on fitted cabinetry, built-ins and staircase work. The site says it is run by Geliabi Zotti, a cabinet maker who came from finish carpentry, and customers name Geliabi or "G" throughout. Thumbtack lists the business at 4.7 stars from 29 reviews and 10 years in business. The stair work goes back further. A November 2025 reviewer described basement stairs in unsafe condition rebuilt in one day; a July 2025 Thumbtack customer with a stair safety issue said Geliabi came out right away, sent a quote within hours with a few options, and finished the job in a day. A March 2024 review described backyard steps built for the family dogs in pressure-treated wood because composite planks would have taken weeks to arrive. The other half of the work is interior built-ins. A November 2025 reviewer praised new bookshelves and how clean the crew kept the house; a December 2024 customer got custom built-ins after Geliabi scoped the job at the house and sent an estimate shortly after; a December 2023 review described 16-foot shelves. Other reviews mention a custom dry bar (September 2025), closet shelving (August 2025), a walk-in pantry and fireplace surround (March 2024), and new treads and risers plus a wood acoustic panel wall (May 2024). An August 2025 Thumbtack reviewer noted the crew used screws rather than nails on deck work. Recent customers describe the same things older ones did. A July 2026 reviewer said the team tells them straight when something isn't doable and has offered options more affordable than expected, and a May 2026 customer said G was one of the only contractors who quoted to their exact requests at a reasonable amount.
