GFM Enterprises is a South Dennis excavating company that Cape homeowners hire for the work nobody enjoys paying for: septic systems, sewer hookups, site preparation and foundations. Local reporting names Gregory and Jennifer Morris of Harwich as its owners, and the state's supplier-diversity registry lists it with active Women Business Enterprise and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise certifications. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is verified active, and the Better Business Bureau grades it A+. The customer record is deep and specific. A December 2025 reviewer had a corroded main line from the house to the septic tank replaced quickly. A June 2025 customer described a septic replacement on a very difficult, steep Chatham lot that turned out harder than either side wanted, and credited GFM with consistent communication and a job completed safely and effectively. An April 2025 seller wrote that a new septic went in with professionalism and consistent updates from the first walk-through to the final inspection. An October 2024 reviewer facing a failed septic two weeks before a closing said permits were pulled and the new system was being backfilled an hour before the sale. The same care shows up on sewer work: an October 2024 Provincetown customer said communication from quote to completion was exceptional and the job landed inside the quoted timeframe, and another October 2024 reviewer described a crew connecting an old septic line to town sewer on time and at the quoted price despite having to correct a mistake left by an earlier contractor. A November 2024 Truro homeowner had a parking and boat-trailer area cleared, filled, stoned and graded. The honest counterweight is not about workmanship at all - it is a five-year zoning fight in Wellfleet. GFM leased a lot at Route 6 and Old Wharf Road as a satellite contractor's yard; the town's building commissioners issued two cease-and-desist orders in one year, the zoning board upheld both and denied the special permits, and in September 2022 town counsel asked the state Land Court for an injunction to stop the operation. A December 2025 Land Court trial heard neighbours testify that even limited operation of the yard disrupted life nearby. Reporting through 2025 says the company continued operating there against the town's orders. For a septic replacement, sewer connection or difficult site job on the Cape, the hiring record here is strong and unusually well documented. If you are a Wellfleet abutter, or the job needs town approvals, ask directly how the company handles municipal permitting.

GFM replaced the septic system on our very difficult, steep lot in Chatham, MA. The job wound up being more difficult and complex than either GFM or I would have liked, but the communication from GFM was consistent and they ultimately completed the job safely and effectively.

Todd is professional and pleasant to work with and always communicates in a timely fashion. He provides photos of the completed work and even forwards them to on the conservation committee.
