An August 2022 Google reviewer said that when they called Girard Plumbing and Heating about a $316 invoice for work they had already paid for, the woman who answered told them the company was no longer in business and that its calls were being forwarded. The customer said someone from the company had come out to fix an issue a couple of months earlier. The Old Orchard Beach company's written reviews run from 2022 to 2024 and split sharply. On the positive side, a June 2022 customer said Russell fixed a slow-draining sink, fixed a bathroom cabinet door and explained in detail how the building's plumbing worked. A December 2022 reviewer said an oil tank was replaced quickly with no problems, and an April 2022 reviewer who had been a customer since 2014 called Adam Girard and his employees professional and friendly. In an October 2024 review, a customer described a drain-snaking job to remove roots about nine years earlier, said they were charged $689 for what they felt should have been a $300 job, and said the worker answered a question with a crude remark. On Google the business holds 3.8 stars from 14 ratings.
OVERCHARGE should have paid 300$ job not 689$ 9yrs ago for a simple maintenance snake sewing to remove some roots in a drain. When I asked feed-back during the job he said Quote: Do you know what is it to remove all your shits !!. Unprofessionnal would never call them back.
Replaced oil tank quickly and efficiently with no problems
I just got an invoice from this company for $316 and when I tried calling the phone number a woman answered and told me this company is no longer in business and told me that all of the calls are being forwarded however I had someone from this company come out and charge me a couple months ago to fix an issue so I’m not sure what’s going on but I would have to say steer clear from this company because I got an invoice this morning and it’s clear they’re either trying to scam people or rip people off I’m extremely dissatisfied with what has occurred and I’m extremely confused as well I hope my bill doesn’t get sent to collections because I have already paid it and I’m not sure why I’m receiving a bill from a company that is telling me they’re out of business
I had a slow draining sink and a question about my dishwasher. Russell fixed the sink, answered my questions in detail, and also fixed the door to my bathroom cabinet. I felt so much more confident after talking with him I understood so much more about how the plumbing system in my building worked and the options for fixing any issues.
I have been a customer since 2014. Adam Girard and his employees have always been professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this company.
