remove and replace 40 gallon electric hot water heater. austin and brendan could not have been more professional or thorough. i'm a curious sort, so i had enough information in advance and asked endless questions which austin answered and help make sure i understood. the next day i realized water heater wasn't "holding" the temperature and became lukewarm. he was here the following day. at that point, i had done endless research and was loaded with questions and concerns. he answered all of my questions and told me what he intended to do. i watched the whole process, and he explained what and why along the way. he also explained our next steps, if need be. he was patient and good natured every step. i would be completely confident in calling him in the future for any additional plumbing issues. this man is a master plumber with the state of maine, license in good standing with no complaints issued. highly recommend!

I would not recommend Austin’s services. He is inexperienced, overpriced, and did not follow up as promised. He took calls about other jobs on my time, took apart my hot water heater, left the burner assembly hanging out, broke the igniter when he pulled it out, and misdiagnosed the problem.. He told me he would look up ‘the part’ and get back to me but I never heard from him. When I reached out to ask about it he said he was too busy to follow up and I should call someone else. Austin was unprofessional, unaccountable for mistakes, and unreliable to follow up or follow through. Find someone else if you need a plumber and want an honest, reliable, experienced professional, it’s not to be found at Platinum plumbing.
