GNK Plumbing & Heating holds 4.9 stars from 282 Google ratings and 4.9 stars from 221 Thumbtack ratings, and the jobs people hire it for are everyday ones: faucets, toilets, water heaters, leaks and heating parts. A customer with a leak in their baseboard heating said Jean came out the very same day, found the issue quickly and made sure everything was tight, clean and leak-free before he left. A customer who hired Jean to replace a kitchen faucet said he showed up within a day of being contacted, worked through a few minor problems with the faucet, and also noticed and replaced a leaky outside spigot turn-off valve in the basement. That customer said another larger plumbing company had quoted a price 3x more for the same job. A customer said Jean came and found no leaks, then checked the plumbing and changed a part in the toilet so the water would stop running all day and night. In a 2025 review, a customer who woke on a Saturday to a shower faucet that went from dripping to pouring said they called no less than 10 plumbers, and Jean came within 30 minutes with supplies and offered multiple options. A 2026 customer who had a toilet replaced said other plumbers in the area had quoted $1000 more than what they ended up paying GNK. A 2024 customer met John Koss at a Peabody plumbing and heating supply store, hired him to replace a 37-year-old leaky expansion tank, and then asked him to replace all the old valves and the circulator; that 2024 customer said he returned promptly twice to fix small leaks. A customer said Jean came to find and fix a leak from the ceiling and left a huge hole in the living room ceiling, which that customer felt was unnecessary. A 2024 HomeAdvisor customer who hired him to purge air from the system and change the expansion tank said he could not get the tank off, dented the side of a dryer while forcing it out, and spilled dirty boiler water on two bathroom rugs. That 2024 customer also said he blew the transformer and then charged for changing it.
I had a leak with my baseboard heating, and Jean called me right away and was able to come out the very same day. He quickly found the issue and got everything resolved. He did great work and made sure everything was tight, clean, and completely leak-free before he left. I really appreciated the quick response, attention to detail, and quality of the work. I’ll definitely be using these guys again in the future. Highly recommend!
