Lovett Plumbing & Heating runs out of Arlington, and the name that keeps surfacing in its reviews isn't the company — it's Charlie, the owner, whose boiler and water heater installs draw the kind of detail people write in when they're genuinely impressed. The Better Business Bureau lists the company at an A+ grade (it isn't BBB-accredited), and on Google it holds a 4.5-star average across 32 ratings. The specific stories back that up: a 2023 review described a prompt, step-by-step-explained no-heat emergency call; in a 2022 review, a customer described Charlie discussing options during a Saturday-morning call and swapping in a tankless water heater the same day; and in another 2022 review, a customer recalled a boiler and water heater Charlie's crew installed back in 2017, followed by years of free phone troubleshooting since. The story isn't uniformly positive. Two 2023 reviews described trouble getting a call back — one said a text reply came a day late and then went nowhere. And a 2024 review flagged a faucet repair that ran 3.5 hours at $270 an hour plus fees, calling the total steep for the job. BuildZoom's permit records show 384 completed projects for the company, though its own page carries a "no active license on file" alert that sits oddly next to the active Plumbing Business and Plumber registrations it lists elsewhere on the same profile — worth confirming current license status directly before hiring. For the bigger jobs — a boiler swap, a water heater replacement, a stubborn no-heat emergency — Lovett's track record is the strongest argument for calling. For a smaller repair, it's worth pinning down the hourly rate and callback timeline up front.
Lovett I don't usually take the time to do reviews, but I feel compelled to do it now because of the outstanding integrity that this company and its employees have demonstrated. I didn't personally hire lovett for problems with my plumbing; however my daughter just lived through two years of backed up waste clogged pipes, and broken pipes while the property owner of the park refused to take responsibility for paying for the repairs and insisting that my daughter come up with thousands of dollars to fix a mess they insisted was caused by my daughter and her family. I am so impressed with Lovett Inc. plumbing company because even though they are contracted by the manufactured park owners for plumbing issues, they are honest and fair to the homeowner. Thank you David and Greg for being the absolutely honest and fair business owners who finally got my daughter squared away and for finding the root of the problem and fixing it! I recommend this company with no hesitation!
Really horrible people.
Great service, quick response and Competitive pricing. Highly recommend Lovett plumbing.
It was literally outrageously expensive - we had to pay multiple fees and then $270 an hour. The plumber who came just changed a leaking faucet - it took 3,5 hours at $270 an hour plus the other fees - that is just robbery because we were desperate. The plumber kept saying taking out the old faucet was complicated - maybe it was, but he also struggled with nearly every part of the process. He was nice, and the faucet was replaced but it was insanely expensive.
Tried reaching out a couple of times and all I get is a voicemail. I have contacted other plumbers who at least have the courtesy to reply and say they can't take any more work at the time. This guy can't be bothered to reply. Very unprofessional.
