Gold Seal Waterproofing is an Auburn shop built around one man: Paul R. Beauregard, who BBB records show has been in business under this name (and previously as DMS Construction) since 1985 — four decades of foundation work. The company handles foundation crack repair and sump pump installation, marketing itself broadly across central and eastern Massachusetts from its Auburn base. The public record is thin — just four reviews on file, from 2023 through this year, all five stars — but each describes real, specific work. In a 2024 review, a homeowner said Paul diagnosed and fixed a wet-basement foundation problem the same day he came out to quote it, at a price well below a phone estimate from a larger company, then inspected the rest of the foundation as a courtesy. A more recent 2026 review described Paul patching a foundation hole in a 1910 house. Notably, in an April 2026 review, a customer described Paul being upfront that a rocky site made a particular job difficult and recommending other companies better suited to handle it — the kind of honesty homeowners don't often get before signing a contract. On a damage-restoration review site, another customer described Paul replacing an old, uncovered sump basin and pump with a larger, covered unit that's since run quietly. BBB gives the company an A+ grade, though it is not a BBB-accredited business. There's no verified state licensing information on file to check before booking. For foundation cracks or a wet basement in the Worcester County area, this is a long-running, one-man operation with a small but clean track record — worth asking directly about licensing and getting the scope in writing given how little else is on the public record.
“Highly recommended. Paul was able to visit my home and provide a very reasonable quote within a day. Work was completed in one day the following week. I had a rough, uncovered sump basin and pump needed upgrade. Paul replaced pump and installed an enlarged, covered sump basin... The new unit is incredibly quiet and has been working great. - Meghan Langley”
Paul was very knowledgeable about old foundations (1910 house) and patched a hole we had. If we need more waterproofing we will definitely call him again.
Paul let me know his honest opinion on the work and reported because of the rocks it is a difficult job- Explained whatever potential solutions that he could think of and recommended other companies that might be handle the work. Appreciated the honesty and him taking his time to explain things.
Needed foundation repair that was causing a wet basement. Paul came out quickly to do an estimate and then said he could do the work right then and there. His quoted price was significantly less than a quote from a larger company that gave me an estimate over the phone. He repaired the problem quickly and professionally and did a thorough inspection of the rest of the foundation as well. I recommend Gold Seal Waterproofing highly. It is clear that Paul takes pride in his work and does an excellent job at a reasonable price.
Fixed leaking in our basement quickly and for a very reasonable price.
