In a June 2026 Google review, a new condo resident said Frank showed up almost immediately to fix and replace a toilet, and another June 2026 customer called him last minute about a leaky bathroom sink. The Dorchester company, at 63 Hecla St, says it has served Boston homeowners since 1998 and shows 4.8★ from 34 Google ratings. The older reviews run the same way. In a 2023 review, a customer who found their water heater leaking at 6:15am called Gomes that morning, and a 2021 customer said Frank responded quickly when their water heater broke on a Sunday. A 2021 customer said he disconnected an old range and came back on a Saturday to install the new one, and another 2021 customer described Frank and his assistant servicing and cleaning two boilers after troubleshooting an old steam system. One April 2024 review is a sharp warning: the customer said the number did not connect them to anyone named Frank, the dispatcher said nothing about a $300-an-hour charge, and a simple valve replacement took three hours, including an hour when the technician left.
Frank did a great job fixing/ replacing toilet in my new condo! We called him, and he was very responsive and showed up almost immediately! He made the process seamless. We will be using him in the future!
Called Frank last minute for a leaky bathroom sink. He immediately responded and was able to take care of plumbing problem in a timely manner. Knowledgeable and friendly, thank u Frank!
Avoid avoid avoid avoid. This number does not send you to anyone named “Frank.” They will charge you a huge service fee, send someone out at $300/hr. They’ll leave for an hour (while on your dime). I needed a SIMPLE valve replaced. By all metrics should not have taken longer than 15 minutes. 3 hours. Absolutely not. I knew I was getting scammed when he said there was an hourly charge, WHICH THE DISPATCH SAID NOTHING ABOUT. I wasn’t even desperate, just being lazy.

Waking up and finding out my water heater was leaking and water had to be shut off in the house was overwhelming. At 6:15am I called Gomes Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling in a panic. Less than six hours later I had a new water heater, installed, old one removed, house in perfect condition and I was at work and able to focus on the day. Absolutely outstanding response and professionalism. Highly recommend.
