Greater Boston Roofing has a large public footprint for an Andover-based roofer: Google lists a 4.9-star rating from 854 ratings, its BBB page is A+, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. Homeowners mainly call them for roof replacement and repair, with related work around skylights, gutters, fascia, and exterior details showing up in recent reviews. The strongest pattern is speed with site coordination. Recent Google reviewers describe crews finishing full roof replacements in a day or two, project coordinators keeping timelines clear, and foremen checking the site while crews worked through weather, protected yards, and cleaned up after installation. Several also mention roof work connected to solar, skylight replacement, gutter replacement, and fixes around leaks or damaged decking. The caution is not abstract: a few recent homeowners describe problems that would matter before booking. One May 2026 reviewer said a full roof replacement left visibly misaligned shingles and broken facade pieces, another said a skylight warranty/leak claim produced poor follow-through, and an April 2026 reviewer praised the salesperson but said nails and leftover materials were still being found after cleanup. That makes GBR a sensible call for homeowners who want a roofing-focused company with a big review base, active Massachusetts HIC registration, and BBB accreditation, especially for roof replacement, repair, and roof-adjacent exterior work. Before signing, ask who will manage the job on site, how cleanup is checked, and how warranty or punch-list issues are handled after the crew leaves.

I would highly recommend Greater Boston Roofing. The project coordinator, Lisa was a pleasure to work with and was very responsive in communication. She made sure that I had all of the timelines. The on site crew manager, Peter did a great job making sure that the job was completed properly, Making sure to replace any items found that were not up to par. The crew did a good job working through 2 days of on and off rain makeing sure to cover parts that would be exposed and finishing up the job by cleaning up all left over materials. Thank you for a great job.

Highly recommended! We love our newly certain teed landmark pro shingle from Greater Boston Roofing company. My wife and I shopped around and Greater Boston Roofing gave us the best quoted. We want to thank Brandon Cochran, Lisa Zonfrillo, Peter Vincent and the crew. They were very professional and did a great job installation. The crew did it all in one day. They were mindful of protecting our yard and valuables around the yard.

Arthur made the process easy. He was pleasurable to work with. Very reasonable price. I would recommend Arthur at ASAP to friends and family.

I had my entire roof replaced over a month ago (March 2026). The owner and project manager/warden (Clinton, Peter) at GBR seem like good people, but unfortunately the workmanship from the crew did not meet expectations. You could clearly see the difference between the roof after the old shingles were stripped and after the new shingles were installed. Many, if not all, of the shingles appear misaligned - looking straight from window), and parts of the facade were broken and then reattached in pieces. It appears as if the work was done in a hurry or by an inexperienced worker. I understand that no project is ever perfect, so I only requested a few reasonable corrections: 1. Patch the hole created in the facade that are in pieces 2. Replace one shingle that appears to be missing in the valley (see picture) 3. Replace the drain that was mysteriously discarded 4. Flatten 5–6 shingles that are visibly curling upward even after weeks of many hot days. After many calls and weeks of waiting, the only repair that seems to have been handled satisfactorily was the drain replacement completed by Peter. Since the company is local, I originally planned to recommend them to many friends and neighbors. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I can no longer do that.

My mother paid for a roof replacement which included installation of a new skylight which came with a lifetime warranty. If you need a roofing company with great service and a lifetime warranty claim is an important part of your decision, this is not the company for you. Our Skylight window began leaking and my elderly mother contacted the company to file a claim. After she received no response, I contacted the company. They came out to the house twice to check out the problem and left with no communication both times regarding next steps or what if anything they did to correct the leak. I called and requested a callback to receive an update on: 3/16, 4/17 and 4/20. Zero response from this company.
