Greggerson Construction, run by Lance Greggerson out of Seekonk, installs and repairs above-ground pools and replaces pool liners. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, and the company has built up a large public record on Google — 64 ratings averaging 4.5 stars, with dozens of written reviews stretching back to 2021. The strongest, most detailed reviews describe the same thing repeatedly: Lance and his crew showing up, working fast, and explaining the process clearly. A 2025 customer who had a 33-by-18-foot oval pool built describes a seamless installation finished in the promised timeframe with maintenance guidance afterward; a 2022 reviewer says their 24-foot round pool went up in about four hours with a liner that had "not one wrinkle." Several reviews describe Lance personally walking first-time pool owners through fill and maintenance steps, and multiple customers who compared quotes from other installers say his pricing and turnaround beat the competition. But a consistent minority of detailed complaints, spread across the whole period rather than clustered in one bad year, point to real quality-control gaps. A 2026 review describes coarse, sharp-stoned sand and leftover screws left under a new liner; a 2024 review says a liner installed three years earlier tore at the footing, well short of its rated lifespan; and a 2025 customer who found two small holes two months after a liner swap says Lance blamed pests without ever inspecting the pool. A separate thread of complaints centers on scheduling and communication once a deposit is in — reviews describe an appointment cancelled with little notice, a six-week wait followed by a refusal to install a particular pool type, and a no-show with no explanation. None of this erases the volume of specific, credible praise this business has earned, but the pattern is real enough to ask about directly: what warranty applies to the liner and base material, and what happens if a problem shows up after the crew leaves. For a straightforward above-ground pool install with a firm written scope, most customers here come away happy — the complaints cluster around the harder edge cases: liner replacements, tight schedules, and pools bought through certain third-party retailers.
Had a very expensive radiant metric pool installed based off the recommendation of a local authorized retailer. A number of things went wrong. 1. Left many sharp screws from deconstruction of our current pool on the ground. 2. Used very coarse sand under the liner that felt extremely rough underfoot. Also, many lumps in the liner and definitely sharp stones. It should be standard to use fine sand (masons sand, or a pad at least if rough aggregate is used) photo of types of stones mixed into the base . 3. Very likely other things were done incorrectly that could compromise our expensive pool; the bead channel does not line up in many places and panels do not appear flush when viewed at the joints. 4. A sharp object is behind the liner above the skimmer that appears to be metal (right where. Screw might be from installing coping (stripped head?) He was extremely rude and disrespectful in text messaging Radiant metric does say to tape all seams and screws behind the liner to prevent any possible damage to liner (this was not done and it would have prevented this sharp screw head from impacting the liner) I was looking forward to this pool after suffering a major spinal injury that has left me unable to walk easily anymore and dealing with life altering pain and disability. I never thought this would happen to me but it did. Changed star rating from 1 to 2 because it could have been a worse scenario. When customers have concerns it’s important to address, listen, and respond in a timely and professional manner and make efforts to correct. The “how dare you criticize me” perspective is not an ideal way to handle concerns from customers who are the ones paying for a service. If this liner gets punctured from that sharp metal behind the liner all I can do it patch it and move on. I tried to reframe my review slightly because it has upset us so much that I want to make sure I’m being as constructive as possible given the situation.
Lance and his crew were very professional and clean. The job got done in a timely manner. I plan on working with them in the future and so should you. Thank you Greggerson Construction.
Lance is extremely knowledgeable and communicated very well on what needed to be purchased and suggested where to purchase it from in order to have everything ready for him and his crew to install our new pool liner. I had called 5-6 other pool companies in March and they all told me they wouldn't be able to do the installation until July!! When I spoke to Lance, I knew he was the right guy for the job and he said he most likely would get to us late May-early June depending on the weather. And, now I see why they were able to get to us so much quicker. The crew was focused & clearly experienced. In and out in record time! Lance was also very communicative on what steps needed to be taken once the liner was installed in order to make sure we have success. Thrilled that it's May 28th and the liner is in and will be ready to go for the summer! 5 stars all the way!
Quick dependable service. Timely installation very neat clean when they left. Work done was a pool liner replacement.
Amazing experience using Lance to install my pool liner. He made the entire process so easy. Communication was great, he arrived on time, answered all my questions, and his crew was so professional. I would absolutely hire Lance again and highly recommend using him!
